An observation from reselling ammo on gun broker I noticed that the UPC all started with the same 5 numbers. Rem, win, fed, FN, 5.7x28 or 12 gauge, 9mm 22LR. Pretty convenient for tracking purchases. That is all.
"They" are tracking everything, and your dossier is always at hand. Buy with cash. Sell for cash. Give no names. Ask no names. Wear a cheap wig and funny sunglasses--and shop far enough away that your friends won't laugh at you.
LOL! Steampunk! Between all my permits, licenses, tax stamps, military record, bulk ammo buys, teaching creds, FCC call sign etc. All the alphabet agencies know who I am, where I am, how long I've been here, and I suppose what beer I like. I am embedded in the system. And I'm just a little worried about the next couple of months... years if things go bad.
@madmax ... Exactly! Not to mention monitoring each and every computer keystroke made while you are online... The massive amounts of data collection would stagger the mind of most, I suspect.
HA! Just this week the boss and I were talking about inverter generators, and we both had ads for them in our emails the same afternoon. Of course we both had our phones with us....
Maybe we could start a pool to see who has the most "Follows" on the three letter agency antisocial media. I'm in.
Like I've said, it's gonna be hard to explain why you are still buying ammo online for a gun that you claim to have sold years ago!
LOL I had a clearance that itself was classified. And was on a travel restriction for years after I returned to the Light side. Oh yeah. I have a file alright.
Multiple State and Federal Explosives Users Permits, FFL Class 1, FFL Class 6, Multiple FCC Licenses, reTIRED Federal Agent, Classified Security Clearances, Passport, Drivers License, Multiple Business Licenses in multiple States, Multiple Lines of Credit from multiple State and National Banks, Internet presence since mid 1970s..(before the Internet existed) I have seen my Federal FBI Security Clearance & Background Check File... 20 years ago it was about two inches thick... Oh yea, they know who I am and what Capabilities I have, also where to find me, if they want me... So No hiding from them, just laying very low is and has been my lifeste...
I pay cash for my retail purchases but means squat. I buy my silver from apmex, get dozens of items from Amazon. All my guns have been purchased retail. For me there is no hiding so screw them.
Everything is tracked these days. Credit Card companies track your purchases, along with reward/loyalty programs, doesn't matter where you shop. In this day and age there is pretty much no hiding from data collectors, minimize when you can or flood the system with bogus crap.
The government is tracking ammo sales are they tracking reloading supplies --powder, bullets, primers and empty cases?
