Is Civil War Possible?

I too have always referred to this event as a 2nd American Revolution vs a 2nd civil war. Personally I would prefer a revolution because it to me would stand a better chance of keeping this nation intact at its conclusion, and I do agree with Thomas Jefferson.

I do not believe there can be a peaceful solution to this problem any longer, the left does not want it, and frankly neither do most on the right. Both sides feel that to "fix" the country the other side must be crushed and brought into their line of thought. To me that only leads to secession, and it in turn to another war between the states. During the War of Northern Aggression the country was divided North vs South. This time that will not be the case. You have the left coast, but within it there are many folks who would side with conservatives of Idaho, Wyo and Montana. Then you have the midwest and the south that are conservative as a rule but have their own pockets of liberal/socialists. The east cost is considered liberal but there are pockets of conservatives esp in the upper NE states. So you're gonna have all these pockets of lefts and rights fighting for what they believe in,not to mention a good 'ol fashioned race war mixed in and it will tear this beloved country of ours into pieces. As much as I hate the thought of it, I think the CONUS will end up looking like Central America as far as a land mass housing a bunch of little countries. Unless during the earlier stages of combat the left side calls upon and gets aid from the UN. OR an outside country bides it time and then stages an invasion to gain control of our resources. I know the last couple of sentences sound a bit tin foilly, but it "could" happen.

I've read and reread this thread since it was posted trying to figure out how to put into words how I feel-I'm not very good at that. I am angry, hurt and just pissed off at where this country is at. I love this country with all my being. Members of every generation of my family have served her since before the War of Northern Aggression and it truly breaks my heart to think that there will come a time when she is no more.

The Left have silhouetted themselves upon the skyline, in their grab of power, they cast off the cloak stepped out from the shadows and showed the people who they really are, Traitors! In doing so, they have painted themselves as targets and painted themselves into a corner from which they cannot escape. What I see is a Civil War between the Left and the Right, which will eventually turn into a revolution as the Right kills off the Lefties and collaborators, and then the racial issues will come next, I expect to see a whole lot of WOKEs killed off, and a sudden realignment of values, while the illegals will also be hunted down and killed. Once there is a clear path, Revolution, with the Conservatives taking control and reforming government much closer to the founders visions, BUT, with very direct, explicit changes! I expect to see a VERY limited government with massive oversite, at the same time, Dems and Repubs being held to exacting standards of ethics and Constitutnal alignment. I expect to see many serious changes, and the Country as a whole become much stronger both at home and abroad! I expect to see a New U.S. on the world map, one who no longer sticks its nose into others business or acts as the worlds police,, but one who acts with absolute power and strength and crushes all who stand against us! Chine will be ignored, we will be forced to stop importing Cheap china crap and forced to produce our own crap at home, Mexico and other countries will also loose big time as the U.S Pulls back it's trade and focuses on rebuilding, China goes tits up and ether strikes out, or they fade away into obscurity as Russia did at the end of the cold war! It ain't gonna be pretty, but I see it as inevitable now, were too far along that road to turn back now, and it can only end one way, pretty much as Bracken wrote!

That is my great fear, especially as the Leftwing Loonies have made our nation a laughing stock on the world stage. Our enemies no longer fear us. I am sure there are those who would take the chance of carving out a slice of American Pie for themselves.

We are indeed in dark days Minuteman, America is certainly perceived as week though it’s the leaders who are week not the core people of America. Yes there are those who would be happier in Sodom and Gomorrah but as I recall, it did not end well for them. If we are attacked, I think the blade of grass analogy will be most apt. As for the weak, evil and corrupt, they have sown the wind, not let them reap the whirlwind.

 

A civil war would require the other side to be armed and they abhor the second amendment.

No kidding, I read the story on Lot Smith (a real old school, kick ass fellow) in doing research for one of my books. Him and old Port Rockwell (this name turned up in one of my books as well) were quite the rowdies.

Not something I want to experience at my age.

 

If I was an imaginative man, I would imagine riots between the underprivileged inner city escalating until they boil into the declining middle-class in the burbs. The shit gets way more aggressive and murderous, unconstitutional government crackdowns are put in place but all the well publicized death and mayhem allows mob rule to be enacted again. Semi-permanently this time.

20 years later, it all breaks loose. Possibly hell like Rwanda or Libya, probably not peacefull like Czechoslovakia. Somewhere in the middle, French revolution or Egyptian Arab Spring style maybe.

Constitutionalists numbers are declining every day to age. Anything could result after another 30 years. I imagine the United States fracturing. If it doesn't, we would become the greatest threat to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that the rest of the world has ever faced. (And we are pretty bad about that now)

 

It's coming maybe not in my life time surely in my kids or grand kids life time. We were once referred to as the melting pot but in the last 50 years we have become just the opposite. Special interest groups, pushing diversity not unity as Americans, black racism (never addressed while whites are racist simply because they are white), multi level justice system, corrupt government who constantly lie to us, The list of reasons for civil war are endless.

Thomas Jefferson once said that "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

I have to disagree on that ratio.

I believe good people make up about 60% of the population. The majority are undereducated, misled, and propagandized. I think that part of the population would agree with 80% of any issues.

The misled masses should all be working together instead of being split into a hundred different factions.

 

That is how these criminal misadministrations work - "divide and conquer, then control". We saw it in a major way with that smug grinning illegal African. The most divisive "leader" (I cannot and will not use the 'P' word for him) our nation has seen since the Tyrant Lincoln. His accolyte Joey Skidmarks is following his lead. Keep the uninformed and uneducated masses divided, squabbling among thenselves and distracted from the true issues.
