As Ben Franklin said We gave you a Republic if you can keep it.. Truly the greatest generation who came out of the depression, knew the meaning of work, faith, and love of country and self-reliance. We now have a generation who are fat and lazy, have had it too good for too long, have been brain washed into love one country is bad, America is evil, they deserve to be taken care of by the government and give nothing in return. I feel this vets pain and salute him for his service , I wish I could tell him we will come out of this and the American he once knew will be again. Regrettable I can't

As the son of a man of the greatest generation all I can do as I see him in my mind peering over his glasses and saying "what were you thinking?" is bow my head. I don't think even President Trump can get us out of this one but I'll keep seeing to powder and ball just in case.

Son of a WW II vet ---vet myself. Sadly would take a complete purge of all government to save the nation --won't happen

And sadly a purge of about 30% of the modern communist leaning population.

If whoever is running Slo Joe keeps on the way they are, poking the bear until it bites we may find that DC, New York, LA all glow in the dark and that might come fairly close. The EMP on top of it all would be overkill, but expected. Never thought I’d think this way but the USA that I grew up in is long dead.

Do you think the vets from WW2 and the greatest generation are tougher or those who survive what is coming will be tougher? The trends appear to me to be that we are going to have tougher times than WW2 so IF anyone survives it would seem that they will be tougher. I guess the problem I see is the old Einstein quote: "I don't know what kind of weapons WW3 will be fought with but WW4 will be fought with sticks and stones".

Many of the WW II vets came off the farm, went thought the depression, they weren't brain washed to fear firearms, want used them to feed themselves. It is hard to say how many people are left in this country with that mind set, if they survive I think they will be as tough as the greatest generation.
