so i have found some synthetic stocks for my norinco but i remember seeing some nice wood stocks by tapco, believe it was the timberland or something like that. they appear to be discontinued, can anyone point me to something similar? thanks!
I have put a few of these on the SKS's and have been happy with them, https://www.opticsplanet.com/fab-defense-uas-sks-complete-chassis-system-w-uas-buttstock.html The last decent wood stocks I saw for SKS's were back in the late 90s early 2000s SKS is one of the easier ones to make a custom wood stock for if you want to invest the time in cutting it out and carving it down.
yea, its a super clean gun, was hoping for a pretty wood stock. may just get a synthetic monte carlo.
something I noticed is who made the firearm matters when getting any after market stuff... too often stuff just wont fit some versions... changes in manufacturing dimensions by the makers...
Check these out. Boyd makes excellent gunstocks. Build & Price Gunstock Configurator | Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks
Yessir, same here as well as the Carbines. Had them make one for a custom 10/22 I built a few years back. Turned out beautiful.
Picked up and SKS some years ago at a gun show guy was selling new SKS's for $149 had to clean all the cosmoline out of it. Has a really nice wood stock once it was cleaned
