You had better get used to it, cause that is the new normal...until prices go up more and more...and then someday they ban guns/ammo entirely!
I picked up a 1965 Ruger single six 22 mag . Dunham's Walmart and my local gun store had 22 mag ammo . New production Remington @ $12.59 a box
I am actually starting to see some hunting ammo on the shelves at work, so get your hunting ammo now! The selection might improve, and prices might come down before next hunting season...and it might not!
I saw 6.5 Creedmoor ammo for $65 a box. That's the first time I have seen it in person in over a year. It probably costs me up to $20 to load up a box of 6.5cm. I saw 2 boxes for 30-30 Walmart a 2 months ago for $30. My 30-30 costs around $13.
We have had .270, .308, .30-06 and .450 hunting ammo in the last month...just as hunting season came to an end! The prices for most of it was in the $20+ range, which is not too bad considering.
Oh yeah baby, Saw a bunch and 2 old dudes fighting over 357 shells, It's almost like they were married?
reports are... seems the new gun owners of resent years... have suddenly decided they need MORE guns... and so ammo is kinda still hard to find...
The Walmart here in sector 88130 has a variety of 22lr ammo, variety of 308 some 30-06, some 270win, some 22wmr, they had 45-70 a few days prior and I bought all the 6.5Creedmoor ammo. At $33 a box, out the door it's the cheapest 6.5Creedmoor ammo I have seen in about 2 years. If in saw it anywhere, over the last 2 years it was $40 to $70 a box.
I found the Sierra 130gr gamechanger bullets my rifle likes. Last time I saw a 500 pack was on gunbroker and they went from nearly $500. Just picked up a 500 pack for $211, with the 100 packs (limit of 2 per person) me and 2 of my friends ordered for me last year I should be quite set.
Seriously starting to wonder if this is supply chain/pandemic/inflation driven.....or like the oil companies, "We wanna make more profit" driven?? 9mm FMJ can be found for $0.30 to $0.35 per round. Used to be HALF that. This is getting stupider than back in 2012/2013!
Better get em coming if you want them, Surly plenty are taking up the Paws day sales going on. I'm scared of those things so I'm good.
If the order was given they may be trying to crtl+z it and gaslight anyone that had knowledge of it. Plus I'm slow rolling on replacing all that ammo that I sold during the summer of firey but peaceful protests that caused 2 billion dollars on damage and killed 275+ people. Replacing factory ammon with far superior, much more accurate, cleaner burning and sometimes more powerful reloads.
Gas use to be $0.25 per gallon, cigarettes were $0.10 a pack and a Coke was $0.05 per bottle, or so my grandparents told me! Today, gas is $5.00 a gallon, cheap cigs are $5.00 a pack, and a can Coke is $0.75 or more...so what is your point? Are you not gonna buy ammo until it goes back down? Might as well sell your guns! Maybe you can buy a laser or phaser when they come out...some day!
As I have said before, I work at Rural King, and we sell guns and ammo. Basically, it is a Prepper warehouse. I was helping out in receiving the other day and we got in a hell of a lot of ammo, stuff that we haven't seen in a couple of years...and in mass quantities. Yes, the prices are higher than they used to be, but isn't everything higher? Why should ammo be an exception? Just be glad that it is available! PS I'm talking enough ammo that my back ached!
