A very un-cool trick, all too easy to duplicate. An educational image. The rim of the 20ga shell will jam securely in the forcing cone of the 12ga and will not just drop out when the muzzle is elevated. Since I shoot both using the same vest I have to be very careful to remove all the 20ga shells from my pockets when I switch guns.
The good old USMC snap-in circle. Best and most economical rifle training ever. Work out position issues, develop muscle memory, practice trigger control and sight alignment, all without firing a shot.
https://youtube.com/shorts/t29WCROBF4k?feature=share USFS file guard to prevent contacting blade edge. This trick would've saved me a lot of blood when I was working on a Kukri edge.
I remembered, and didn't have to look it up. I remember a couple old Toyota models that would puzzle the young gas station attendants in Japan. Don't know if the old Corona or Corolla models from the mid 1960's to early 70's made it to the U.S. with the same filler location.
I thought I remembered,, but I looked it up to make sure . The earliest car I can remember Dad driving was a mid 50s Chevy,, can't remember the model ,, after that was a Rambler .
I can't find the description but I think this was a home built in Alaska in 1968 (He cut the logs in 1968, and returned the next year to build the cabin) by one man with only hand tools. Study the details. Update: Wikipedia says that Dick Proenneke lived alone in this cabin from 1969-1999
Nice ,, check out the door hinges , and the latch ,, cool . I knew a guy a few years back that was building a log cabin for a lady. He was cutting the trees , notching and mocking up the layout. He said it needed to sit and dry for a year ,, then come back and adjust all the notches to seat right and get a tight fit. I was talking with him and he said he got a job in the NC mountains building log cabins . I seen him about 3 weeks later ,, said he quit the job. He said they had him building those log cabin kit homes ,, he was wanting to build them from standing timber .
Looks like the cabin build by Dick Proenneke. I've watch the video several times, wish I had half the skills this guy had.
Hanging in there for an old man ,, old in body , not in mind . Some good ,, some bad ,,, just dealing with life's complexities.
