I love how the politicians think that this money is theirs to use as their personal slush fund for projects that benefit them politically. Didn't Newsom propose a tax rebate about the time of the recall election?

Surplus came from the Federal government. Nancy was sure to direct billions there. We all paid for California's surplus.
Yeah but if they did that they would also have to send all the illegals and terrorists living in their old houses back to their country of origin. Where's the money in that?
They can spend the money buying WATER! Have a fleet of tankers bring it down from Alaska or Canada! Then they can keep the fountains flowing, their swimming pools full, and their lawns green!
Of course, it came from the Federal government Covid funds! Those funds were how they got all the damn governors on board with their damn policies! Even our governor here in Idaho couldn't resist but we are getting rid of him tomorrow! Yep! Election day is tomorrow and he will be out on his rear. EDIT: Well, it looks like we are stuck with our governor for 4 more years. I had to shoot my mouth off and jinx it.
