Good lord, OD49...giving oxygen to dummkopf Wood's right wing conservative propaganda.....I guess it figures.

It is interesting that there are no source citations provided to the claims embedded in the meme, to provide evidential support for the Irish Children chattel slave myth that Woods is promoting (by resending)....the meme just makes unevidenced false assertions.

The image of three disheveled young children in the meme Motivational Poster Thread (warning content) is actually an argument against the exploitation of child labour in the early 20th century in the USA...the girls featured in the image were not chattel slaves, but victims of exploitative Capitalism at work. It is not known that any of the 'oyster shuckers' were even actually Irish.

A well researched series of web articles which debunk in detail, the myth of Irish chattel slavery in the American colonies:

Debunking the imagery of the “Irish slaves” meme
How the African victims of the Zong Massacre were replaced with “Irish slaves”
The “Forced Breeding” myth in the “Irish slaves” meme
Exaggeration and the appropriation of the torture of enslaved Africans in the “Irish slaves” meme
The Myth of Colonel William Brayne and the “Irish slaves”
The myth that Goodwife Glover, the Irish woman executed for witchcraft in Boston in 1688, was an…

That said, in America's colonial period, and well after, many Irish immigrants entered pre and post revolutionary America as indentured servants; but indentured servitude is not the same as hereditary chattel slavery: It also has to be said, that although indentured (bondage) servitude could be harsh, cruel and exploitive, with few legal protections; but indentured servants were not owned as hereditary property, their progeny were not owned as hereditary property, and the indentured servant was to be released from debt bondage once their contract term was complete, or the master illegally abrogated the terms of the contract. Slavery and Servitude | Confronting History at Cliveden

Woods is not advocating for reparations for Irish indentured servants...he's just using dishonest ahistorical propaganda to attack an issue that he does not favour.

Some Irish politicians, and white nationalists have also willingly embraced the 'Irish Slave Myth': It isn't an exclusively American phenomenon Sinn Féin not allowing facts derail good ‘Irish slaves’ yarn

The Irish slave myth works a little like the Monty Python '4 Yorkshiremen Skit', discounting the Atlantic Slave Trade of African chattel slaves' experiences, by claiming that the poor oppressed white Irish had it worse, and were enslaved first!

Edit: It does have to be recognised that some chattel slaves may have enjoyed a relatively more comfortable situation than some bonded / indentured servants, however, whatever granted privileges a slave may have enjoyed, could also be withdrawn by their master / owner at any time, without recourse, on a whim.
