I think its funny that Australians take themselves seriously. I mean really, you can't get any further from the rest of the world. Nobody would even notice if half the country fell into the ocean. Taika Waititi is pretty funny and he's New Zealandish, New Zealander... New Zealish? Same thing right? He's also kinda scary. Have you seen him portray a bad guy in the movies? Kinda creepy. I'm pretty sure he's also a Mason and Satanist.

The joke itself has become irrelevant to the discourse, except insofar as it has become an excuse to troll the OP contributor.

 

Sorry, but when you have to explain the punchline of the joke, it isn't funny.

 

I included a clue after the punchline...for the slow people who were neither bothered to discover, nor capable of discovering what an Hryvnia was. Discovering what a Hryvnia was, made the investigative effort worthwhile (at least for me)...and the joke all the funnier. Had the joke author used a currency more familiar, such as the Rouble...it would have killed the joke...Sometimes a good joke works even though it isn't so simplified that even a simpleton with a minimal number of neurons can get it.

Kudos to VisuTrac for embroidering on the joke, with a joke of his own.

Not every joke requires a boom-tish flourish before the punch line to indicate that the joke has been delivered.
