You say you have "the idiot (your term, not mine) on ignore", yet your reactions to some posts would seem to indicate that you respond to vicarious references to "the idiot", with some sense of smug self satisfaction / righteousness...which would seem to indicate that you don't actually ignore "the idiot"

Be strong, place those who refer to "the idiot" in any way on ignore also. Peace of mind can be yours, but only if you want it and work for it!

Agreed.

Unfortunately some feel that their opinions are indistinguishable from their sense of ideological identity, and that to critique or challenge their opinions is to challenge / attack their sense of self. Some protect themselves be encasing themselves in a semi permeable bubble wherein they only allow opinions that are generally agreeable with their own opinions to enter, but exclude those (such as by using ignore) which they find disagreeable. Encapsulating oneself in an echo chamber / mutual agreement society is stultifying and not a very favourable environment for epistemic growth.

I place no one on ignore...being aware of the ideas of fools does me no hurt, and does no harm to my sense of self. If anything, challenging my ideas and opinions intelligently, only sharpens my own skills as an interlocutor.

 

I'm not sure who my conservative confrere is supposed to be? Who am I supposed to be supporting and what did they do? I don't really support any politicians. NONE. The last time I did support a politician it was Ron Paul and Michael Badnarik. As far as I know they haven't said anything about anyone's looks because that is just dumb. I do support Elon Musk tho. He is proof that capitalism works. I see him like Ford, Wrigley, Hughes. Without the freedom to innovate via unrestricted capitalism the human race is doomed.

He can't run for president. He's not born in America. This is why Schwarzenegger couldn't do it.

It's a fact that is hard to talk about without getting thrown the racisms card. If you say that white people are genetically smarter at things like math and science on avg than other races you get called racist. If you say that black people are genetically good at sports and physical activities nobody cares. Hypocrisy abounds. Scientists who have looked into this fact have had their research banned and attacked. Wouldn't want that info getting out but if you look at all the black nations of the world... yeah. Don't look there.

So the argument goes Elon Musk is bad for being rich and buying Twitter in an effort to save free speech. My question is WHAT IF he sent that $44billion dollars to a foreign country, let's use Russia in this example to promote war and death, would he be bad?

People have absolutely no idea what they are doing, what they support, and what the results of their actions are. There are no morals taught anymore so we can't hold the politicians responsible when they kill us off. War and death have no meaning because the world has become moronic. The family unit is the most important thing for a strong healthy child and mental stability... and it is gone. It has been replaced by psychotic drag queen story time. Divorce courts specialize in destroying childhood by promoting parental alienation and facilitating it. They have turned the destruction of our youth into a money making scheme.
