Motivational Poster Thread (warning content)

I like guys that do stuff like that. Even better are the guys that work on their own car. They bought me a house and have been paying all my bills for 20+ years.

 

Back in the late 70s,, a few of the grocery stores had generic beer ,, just a white tin can that said " Beer " ,,, I think it was about a buck sixty a 6 pack. I believe it was made by Falstaff ,, if I remember correctly. Put down quite a few of'em.

 

I remember those. I probably have one in my beer can collection in the attic. During the Gulf War there was a similar plain white can that said "WATER." I noticed that they were canned by Anheuser-Busch. I wonder if the brewers ever "accidentally" sent out cases of beer with cans marked like that.

I only have thoughts like that because I can never forget our Engineer Officer, who was very near retirement, slipping six plastic bottles filled with Zima (a clear malt beverage) into a case of water that our unit had filled from our reverse osmosis water purification equipment. This water had the unit logo on the label and was distributed during a dog and pony show for college students. We never heard a peep from any of the students who got the special bottles. Later in the week we were called to an all officers meeting in the CO's office. What do I see on his book case? One of the bottles of water from that event. We never knew if that was a subtle hint that we'd been found out, or if it was just water.

I had great fun with that unit, but it was my last post before retirement as well. I initiated a gag that will live in unit memory, and the memory of one young Lieutenant forever. I'll call it "The Bell."

 

Falstaff beer, That was Uncle Donalds favorite, If we boys helped him on the farm he'd let us split one.
Nasty stuff unless its almost at 32 degrees cooled off, Think I was maybe 6 or 7 at the time.

 

When trump would call the rag heads would pick up on or before the 2nd ring.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that. They are getting 3-4x what they were getting for their oil during the previous administration, yet somehow the current occupant is tougher?
