    I'll share what I can.
The two doctors are also military service personal, as part of their higher education, they were required to do their 2 year hitch in the Army, sort of like our National Guard, both were called up when the Russians crossed the borders and sent to Kharkov to work in the trauma units in local hospitals there. Imagine being sent several hundred miles from home to a city under seige to serve that community, while at the same time, expected to also treat the enemy who managed to make their way to your hospital, not a good place to be! Now, imagine wearing the uniform of your countries Army while honerably serving, you are now a combatant and subject to all that implies, because you were required to serve to attend university. Yup, Rock and a Hard Place! Now, imagine some of the Russians came into the hospital armed and looking for trouble, stealing food and supplies, or generally causing lots of trouble, and imagine doing what was needed to defend those within that hospital! The Russians have accused many staff of committing war crimes against it's soldiers, and if they had not be evacuated, they would likely have been put to the sword!
Imagine being taken to Poland and then questioned for several days, treated as a potential war criminal until your story could show serious doubts, and having it decided for you, that for your own safety, you would be sent to America until such time as the war ends and you can then return and potentially be forced to give a statement against your self, depending on who "wins" or, other less then nice things await you, even though you did nothing wrong!

@Uka-Ki I understand. Yes, was definitely the right decision to get them out of there as they would not have got a decent trial especially if they had had to kill one of the Russian soldiers. Yep! I'm glad they made it safely to America.

My guess is they will be staying which is a good thing. I can't imagine the Ukraine being able to hold out very much longer. Putin is on the clock as the entire world is against him and opinion throughout the world and at home will continue to grow against him. Putin will throw everything at them no matter what the cost in blood or honor. Spring is really there now, which will affect armor operations, but it will not stop him. The longer the Ukrainians hold out the more chance that something can happen to upset the balance so he must wrap this up as soon as possible. Anyway...your docs are out of it now and safe.

I do hope they choose to stay both are very nice Ladies who got caught up is a bad situation they had nothing to do with! I wish and hope our gov. will allow more Ukrainians to come here, surely a much better option then those worthless pieces of crap coming up from our southern border!

I hope the Ukraine gets fighters from the looks of the Russian convoy it stretches for miles, looks like you take them all out with a bombing run down the middle of the road. Putin would be left high and dry for supplies

I've been wondering about that Russian convoy. Is it for real or is it just a diversion? It could be a real fighting force of 15,000 bent on assaulting the capital of Ukraine, or it could be a few hundred conscripts driving the vehicles and a like number of real soldiers. It has been sitting there for a week...

That convoy is static now, The Ukrainians have done a fantastic job of blocking it and keeping it from being used!
It all came down to taking out the vanguard of the convoy and then targeting ALL fuel trucks! They are out of fuel and food, and their supply chain cannot keep up! Russia doesn't run it's supply chain the way we do, They do it by schedule and not on demand, there fore, they will not be getting supplied until its far too late! The MSM isn't covering any of it, but there is tons of video of the intense fighting early on blocking and keeping that convoy locked up!

I am not for direct military involvement in this. I am for more assistance for Ukrainian refugees. I am for quick Emergency visas for ukrainian family members of americans and green card holders.

@mysterymet I regret to say that that's exactly what I am for, direct military involvement. I trust you will not think harshly of me for this belief; however, I have thought it clearly through and if ever there was a reason to fight or help in a fight then it is this one.

Also, history shows us what appeasement will bring so when President Zelensky tells us its not only Ukraine's fight but democracy fight too, he speaks the truth. Please don't get me wrong, I don't want war with the Russians, I just want them to leave the Ukraine.

Damn all these worthless past presidents that led us to this point where we are too tired, too lame, too bled dry to rise when we are needed most, when we should and only we can do it. I hope all of them rot in hell.

I agree completely! We're I a younger man, I would be tripping the light fantastic across the Ukrainian border with my rifles and ruck and raisin hell on those assholes under Putin! Keep me in Bullets, Beans, and Band-Aids and I would make them pay dearly for every inch and every life of my countrymen, THIS is a fight I can understand, this is a fight I can get behind, and a fight I would be willing to die for!

I think we are not being told the complete story here. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/03/heres_the_truth_on_ukraine_as_far_as_i_can_tell.html
I wouldn’t believe their lies about taking the shot and I am very skeptical of their motives here. I had many years in the service myself and don’t trust the leadership of this country any farther than I can throw them. this fight is not ours. Let the rest of europe fight this one. We’ve been being the world’s police force for too long. We have spent our country’s resources To defend others who have never appreciated it and berate us amd insult our service members stationed in their country (i’m talking about you germany). The rest of nato never kept up on their military spending according to the treaty, instead counting on us to do the fighting for them. This natural gas crisis and fuel crisis wouldn’t be so bad if we kept our domestic production in our country and made germany figure out their own fuel problem. They purposefully shut down their coal and nuke plants and rubbed their holier than thou environmentalism in our faces. I am sick of being the world’s police force. i am done. No more for me. Not for my son either. Let Germany’s sons die for oil for a change. The only country I give a shit for in europe is the UK. The rest can go suck it.

Well said, mysterymet. I will add that we also get a bad rap for not having a modern, free health care system like countries in Europe do. This is because we have paid the bill for their defense in blood and treasure, while they have advanced their own social causes.

Stalin was not a Russian....he was an ethnic Georgian...and it has to be said that Russians also killed hundreds of thousands, if not millions of their own ethnic ilk.

Certainly Ukrainians have no love of the Russian Federation military, and in particular its military's leadership...the actual hatred is against Putin and his acolytes and political supporters without which the war would not be prosecuted. Ukrainians have an understandable loathing of the military war criminals who have executed political directives to engage the Ukrainian civilian population in largely unrestricted warfare contrary to the laws of armed conflict.

What complicates things is that there are significant populations of Ukrainians in Russia and Russians in Ukraine. Both Ukrainians AND Russians are victims of Putin's undeclared war of aggression. The question is how this war will play out: The best outcome for Russia, Ukraine and the world is if the Russian people exercise the Nicolae Ceaușescu option.

Russia does not have a history of peaceful transition of political power when wars are lost...they tend to be turbulent, with heads rolling, sometimes literally, and Putin knows this...hence his desperation to salvage anything that to the Russian people resembles 'victory'.

I understand and I agree with most you said (especially Germany, spent 14 years there) and you certainly cannot blame any American for feeling the same. I get it. However, I think this war is different and the world being more connected than ever means no matter who sneezes the entire world catches cold. For what it's worth, Germany has stated publicly and officially they made a mistake depending on Putin for energy. Besides, the blame belongs on our leaders as they are the one's that got us into all those meaningless wars.

One point that people don't point out some of the major players in NATO, namely Germany and France, don't have the combat troops to fight Putin. That's been changing since 2016 and I am certain will go back into high gear now.

Yeah, me too. I toyed with the idea, even looked into where to apply, but I know they wouldn't take me. I'm 68 and used up. We talked last night about adopting some children ophaned by the war as heard its pretty simple to do.

The only ones that are going to stop Putin .. are his own people.
The west is too afraid that he'll actually go nuclear to do much other than clap, sing praises to the strong brave Ukrainians and send supplies to look like they were helping Ukraine so they will be looked at favorably if Ukraine wins but not so much that they look like they were helping if Russia wins.

This is true. The world is stuck between a rock and a hard place. I agree with Bandit that the blame does belong with our leaders. They are weak and their policies are hopeless. We need MORE domestic production not less. What good are all the electric cars in the world if the grid can’t support them? How are people supposed to buy $90k electric cars when they can barely afford gas. One of our young engineers here has grandparents in Ukraine that just made it into Poland. We are raising money to get them plane tickets and working with our congress critter to get them a emergency visa. I would take an war orphan in an instant if I knew where to go to do it. I am not unfeeling of their plight. I just am sick of being team america world police.
