Sad but true ,, strange times we live in now.

 

My blood oxygen levels never got that low ,,, not when I had that little meter ,,,maybe it did in the beginning stages when it 1st hit ,, but I didn't have that little tester then . Didn't even know about blood/ oxygen stuff .

 

Following the Zelenko protocol: I got exposed at work by a guy wearing a mask. I started feeling it by the next morning. By the next evening I felt normal again. I increased my vit D intake to 50k IU/day and I think that helped.

One of the other things that seems to be working really well is Pepcid which I didn't try.

 

Wow, I didn't think exposure to developing symptoms was as short as a day. This thing must be getting worse.

Then I figured out the BS

 

Dr. visit went about as expected. Visited with nurse who took notes on symptoms, any med changes, weight, :BP and o2 levels. :Blood pressure was way low, took it again and was still low but acceptable. O2 was 85%, and that was of concern to nurse. I had 2 swabs, one for flu which was negative, the other for Wuflu which came out positive. Dr peeked in all decked out in protective gear, said I was sick (oh, really lolol) and sent me home with 2 prescriptions, one for steroid to dry things out, one for antibiotic to take care of misc nasties. 5 days for steroid med, 10 days for antibiotic med. Dr said o2 level under 85 was hospital time but since I had o2 machine, I am to use it regularly. With it, o2 stays at 95 - 98. Got prescriptions filled today, took first doses. My appetite is ok, but I am weak and achey. Thank heaven for Sweetie, she's taking great care of me. Doc said another week to 10 days before I start feeling better. Bleaccch. Sweetie did big time grocery shopping so we are as ready as can be for whatever happens......covid or whatever. Just relaxing, reading and watching tv. We have pretty much done self quarantine for 2 years now. Sure glad we get along so well. Take care out there, folks, this is unfunny.

Done with the quarantine daughter in law is fine now--wife and I got tested Friday --negative. Son never got sick tested negative.

 

VTjr cough, raging sore throat, fever and cough .. tested negative during the worst. But now just has a slight cough and fever ... now test comes back positive. Pretty sure the wife got it too. Looks like it's gonna run through the house.

Seems that it's a 3 day event of fun symptoms followed by a bunch of less symptomatic encores.

Me and Lil' Miss VT are just waiting for our turn.

We’ve had very few get Covid in our circle up until this past November. I could probably rattle off 30 who have gotten it since. Those that were young or vaccinated had a night of fever followed by three days or less of symptoms, and lingering cold-like symptoms for a week or so. Spreads like crazy!
The unvaccinated that I know were in for a longer period of symptoms(maybe 7-10 days), but have all pulled through.

 

Well, they were feeling better yesterday. Today, not so much. Full on fever (101ish), the chills followed by sweats and coughs. Wife is on day 8, boy is now day 5 or six. Me and Lil Miss VT so far do not approve of this sickness and are wondering when we are gonna get it.

Granted we are not as bad off as the others.
I just got the worst headache i've had in my entire life (plus fever) and body aches that reminded me of the time I crossed up the YZ's front tire in a rut at about 40 mph and supermanned off into the bush. I slept for basically 24 hours yesterday and feel way better.
Lil' Miss VT got a headache, fever and a screaming sore throat on monday overnight but she too is doing better this afternoon.
Boy and the Wife ... they still sound and look terrible. SPO2 sat is at 96-97 on them so imma let them cough away.

I hope that this isn't the calm before the storm (Round two) cause i don't want that headache back because nothing i took even dented that one.

Yeah, I'm the hydration Nazi around here. I tell them to keep drinking because they don't want to have to go to the hospital to get IV'd whilst surrounded by freaking really sick people and superbugs.

 

Looks like I'm over the worst of it. Felt like I could finally start doing a few things today, did, and feel fine. I'm going to ease back into my routine and even kick it up a bit to try and recoup a little faster. Finally!
