From what we can tell from the markings it was an Irwin-Pederson barreled receiver, finished by Saginaw Gear. It has a Saginaw slide but the bolt, trigger guard and barrel are IP. The barrel is dated 1-43. It was refurbished into the current configuration by Augusta Arsenal and the stock is stamped with AAH.

 

Last year it was U.S. and Japanese WWII sniper rifles. This year it's paratrooper models.

Christmas is almost here. In my family the men have always had a cigar box that they keep stuff in. I have my grandpa's and my Dad's. Went to the Cigar lounge to look for boxes for the boys. The only wooden one they had was this. They sure don't make cigar boxes like they used to.

 

He looks like a lot of fun, full of personality. He's a cutie!

I have found bullets in dressed lumber. They make an interesting addition to a dining room table.

 

If you would have used full penetration boolets the guts would of been hanging out and the wood would of been split

 

I have just left the piece of wood in the living room and it is quite the conversation piece. Fun to watch folks when they see it then look again.

 

Can you see her? Her youngster moved further away, but the doe stayed to eat some low branches. This kind of brush makes deer hunting for our little swamp whitetails a challenge. Longest shot I've ever seen was 100 yards from a tree stand in an area that had been burned recently. Shortest was less than seven, with a pistol, standing at the base of the stand and supported on the ladder.

She's looking right at the camera and her nose is near the center of the image.

 

I can't see her on this phone ,, but I've decided to throw out a food plot behind the house for them this year ,, I'm expecting to need a little help from mother nature nature this to help fill my gut .
