No wonder the Dems are jealous of the lost funds from the BLACK Market and Joe wants every one to pay their share of the Juice to the Dem Party Toughs.
    Talk about greed and crime.

If you want. But then you still have cash and at some point the government will likely eliminate physical cash make some kind of virtual cash.

Well if it comes to that then forget gold and silver as they will simply us metal detectors at any place than can plant them to funnel you into the sensors range.
Remember the Dems only believe they know best.

Government have virtual cash now that's a scary thought. How easy it would be for the government to withhold virtual cash from their political enemies. For barter--- baggies of 10 rounds of ammo and cash is my go to.

Barter is actually making a real come back. Gotten to where I do more trading of Pork, beef and poultry for things I want or need than exchanging dead presidents for them. I need two new front tractor tires on the Massey it cost me two 150 pound hogs. The last AR-10 cost a side of beef. Doc stuff not covered by insurance we keep a running tab and Doc shops the shelves and freezers as needed deducting his purchases from the Off the books office tab. My Upper Denture and lower partial 60% paid for with Pork and Beef. Had to pay the lab portion for the final products with cash. Local Grocery store owner gives me a $2000 per year in store credit to shop with for maintaining his food plots for the deer hunting leases he leases out on his land. Tow Truck Company hauls my tractors and implements to the shop for hams and home brewed hooch. Tractor and Implement shop owner trades the labor for anything from guns/ammo/beef/pork parts I have to pay cash for. Local Computer shop has custom built my last three computers for trade in kind. LOL Long before there was money, there was trade and barter :)

Yeah but you have power or electricity, No power those machines don't work, Damaged towers, Cell phones no workie.
If it wasn't for cash in a disaster area....thievery would have been more than prevalent.

There is no in range you have to walk through the sensor.
Then it just goes more underground.
It doesn't have to be precious metal. It could be fuel, computer parts, maybe a car, some food, a chicken, seeds, ect.

Barter is a significant portion of that underground economy they are referencing. Anything that they can't count or tax is considered underground income and that is exactly what they want to control.

The parish tried to tax flea market sales...hahaha No-one participated with collecting tax on the sales since all the vendor pay's for is just a table with no name.
They the parish soon gave up on their little underhanded tax plan.
The vendors, Tax was already paid when it was sold new.

Sure I know it is only Fiat Money but even planks of wood have been printed on to sustain an economy.

Thing about going after the underground economy is how much of it would cease if taxes had to be collected on it ?
The second point is how much tax is generated from the 'next ripple' of that underground cash. It doesn't STAY underground for the most part. It gets spent into the above ground economy and generates LOTS of taxes once spent there....sales taxes, income taxes by vendors, property taxes by vendors, etc.

Cut out the underground flow, and you'll cut out a lot of the above ground ripple effect.

    OTOH
Many folks end up living in the "under the table" bunch that when it comes time for retirement they find the "safety net is missing.

Worst case is the Vet's wife who come to us as a last resort for food or shelter.

Just one of the facts we see daily.

Always prepare for the worse and of an unexpected life event, this may mean a longer life than you expected or the early loss of a spouse.

In short, early bling purchases and long term mistakes in debt can mean a miserable retirement.

Plan for the long term, lock and load for the immediate.

Conder tokens, also known as 18th-century provincial tokens, were a form of privately minted token coinage struck and used during the latter part of the 18th century and the early part of the 19th century in England, Anglesey and Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.
