I actually saw one of them 2 wheel Gravelys on craigslist the other day ,, didn't have any implements with it other than a wood cart to ride on and haul stuff .
Lowes and the commercial lawn mower place are still completely sold out of lawn mowers. All lowes has is the shitty battery powered ones that cost 2x as much as the gas ones. I have 2 push mowers but I'm keeping them. I have an old 42 inch 18.5hp V-twin craftsman mower from thr early 2000s that I replaced with a 2010-up 46 inch 19hp single cylinder craftsman. You know what that means... Sell the old one at gouge prices. I figure normally I might be able to sell it for up to $800 with all the extras, commercial carbide tipped blades, extra blades, spare belt, extra air filter, spare blade spindle. Now I'll try to get $1,400 for it, if it don't sell knock it down to 1200.
I always enjoy you're threads OP4 and how you put the sausage to the chronic un-prepared. If you got em, Smoke em !
My friend in Virginia said he was helping an inlaw find a new riding lawn mower, they have been trying to get one for 2 weeks. So it doesn't seem to be regional.
One more year of Hiden' Biden and I'll be depending on my lawn for dinner. Al least I'll save on gas...
It starts as lawn mower and computer chip shortages, the only logical conclusion is we end up at food shortages.
If you need a lawnmower now is the time to start looking. I'm already buying next year's lawn care supplies. I probably got 2 years worth of powermax twisted weed eater line on sale cheaper than I have ever seen it. And I'm Shopping for a 190ish cc push lawn mower engine with a 1 inch or 25mm shaft, I waited till fall or winter when no one wants them. I bought a new briggs and stratton with an obviously blown engine for $20, that blown up 140cc mower retails for about $260 new, before tax. A 190cc mower engine, plus the $20 mower and a blade hub plus a blade I already have should make a bad ass, nearly unstoppable new mower for under $200.
I'm picking up an older cub cadet this weekend from a lady I did a job for ,, I worked on it some for her, I put new belts and a battery in it ,, plugs and oil,, she paid for it all ,, I was out of town and the tire went flat, and said it wouldn't start. So she went and bought a new John Deere. She said if I didn't want it ,, her neighbor would give her 600 bucks for it. I'm taking it. Going to put it to work.
Still waiting on parts for mine maybe I should get a couple of goats to take care of the lawn. Can always eat the goats when the food shortage hits
Sheep work better on grass. My goats eat the trees and brush, hardly eat the grass. I too am waiting for a head gasket. Parts man said ...... November 30th.
