Russian ammo (Wolf, Red Army and Tula) have been some of the most available during this shortage, and in a number of calibers (9mm, .223/5.56, 7.62x39, 7.62x54R, 12 ga. 00 Buck, etc.). At Rural King (where I work) we have plenty and I might buy some for re-sale. I don't make a lot of money re-selling ammo, since I sell to friends, neighbors and relatives (hereabouts they tend to be all three).
Ammo will likely get distributed to the US through another country. All the Russian manufacturers need to do is to "make" the ammo for a different company in a different country. So Tula manufacturers for, say Fiocci ,who then sells it here. Don't know if you could pull the same trick with firearms, but I bought an Italian CZ-75 when you couldn't get them from Czechoslovakia. My buddy that goes to Lubbock all the time for family stuff found plenty of large rifle and large pistol primer, all I could want for $70 to $80 a brick. I was like nah, but small primers yeah maybe. Didn't come across any smalls.
