When my mother-in-law used to live with us, I bought a bathroom scale for my bedroom. The scale in the other bathroom (the bathroom MIL was using) got broke somehow, so wife was using my scale. She didn't think mine was working right, so she bought herself one of those digital scales. Turns out she likes mine better cause mine seems to register a bit less than the more expensive digital scales.

I'm reminded of the time one of my wife's friends told me that I needed to buy a dishwasher. She was not amused when I told her that I already had a perfectly good dishwasher that stands in front of the sink and washes the dishes! I'm not going to talk about the time I bought her a new clothes dryer, 200 feet of it!

It always killed me, women get all upset if you gift them something to do their job. Yet they think it is perfectly fine to buy men tools as a gift. I make my living with tools . With the exception of of a small set of bicycle tools . My tools are for making a living or maintaining our home. Work

I love getting tools. There aren’t a lot of tools that I need that I don’t already have but the issue is she has no idea what they are. Heck, until I need it, I don’t either!

In some houses the men and women share household tasks and both work outside the home. I like when my husband buys me tools. He also uses the tools when he wants to do projects. He is a much better cook than I am so I do buy him stuff for the kitchen. He also loves to grill so I bought him a nice pellet grill. Stuff like bathroom scales and mops are no go for gifts for anyone unless they are given to kids moving out on their own or are specifically asked for!

We had a dessert bandit at work. Would only steal cookies and cakes out of peoples lunch in the refrigerator.
Made some brownies with this. Found out who it was pretty fast. ;)

It's interesting how different words in a headline, a House Bill, or a regulation
can change perceptions . Potentially making even something unsavory sound
like it's something positive. Change words, add a few words where they never
were, quote an anonymous "expert." Call any opposition "The Big Lie."
Rinse, repeat, collect a fat paycheck, and call yourself a "journalist."

The TRUTH is seeping out faster than it can be contained. It's going to get
    very interesting here very soon.

I have fortunately not seen any of this silliness in my workplace.
My personal pronouns have never changed.
I prefer the honorifics Mister and Sir.
