H.R.2547 - Comprehensive Debt Collection Improvement Act This bill generally provides additional financial protections for consumers and places restrictions on debt collection activities. Regarding additional consumer protections, the bill expands certain protections currently applicable to federally-backed student loans to private student loans, including by requiring the discharge of a private student loan in the event of the borrower's death or total and permanent disability; prohibits a consumer reporting agency from adding any information related to a debt arising from a medically necessary procedure to a consumer credit report and places restrictions on the reporting of other types of medical debt; and applies certain consumer protections regarding debt collection to debt owed to a federal agency, to states, to debt buyers, and to businesses engaged in nonjudicial foreclosures. It also prohibits certain loan conditions that limits a borrower's opportunity to be heard in court in the event of default. Additionally, the bill restricts debt collectors and debt collection practices by prohibiting a debt collector from representing to a service member that failure to cooperate with a debt collector will result in a reduction of rank or similar action, and limiting a debt collector's electronic communications with a debtor without the debtor's permission. I found it interesting that several other members (All DEM) are pushing different bills, all aimed at 'medical debt'. - just like Mad Max's bill here. I've got some more digging to round up all the other bills, but S 1581 S 355 US Congress House Subcommittee on Health Committee a host of other bills dealing with heath and .mil retirees.

All of the by race programs need to just end. Either things are for everyone or for no one. I have had knock down drag out arguments with the USDA/FSA/NCRS trying to foist extra $$$ on my because they say I am "Socially Disadvantaged Farmer" due to my race. Last one was the high tunnel grant, figured why not....... someone is going to get it so it may as well be me. I applied for the grant did not whip out the Prisoner of War Card (Tribal Enrollment Card) just checked the race box years ago when I bought a piece of land out of a crp contract. Anyway Just because I am Native American they decided I needed an additional $1.89 per square foot more than the White Farmer does. When you are talking about 2880 square feet that = $5443 more than a white small farmer that likely is way behind me financially would get. After 3 months of arguing with them and refusing to accept extra money BECAUSE I AM IN NO WAY SOCIALLY DISADVANTAGED I finally got the same $10,900 available to the white farmers instead of the $16,343 they were pushing on me. These race specific programs and grants are total bullshit. Maybe they should stop telling minorities they are Socially and Economically Disadvantaged and just make a level playing field for everyone.

These special race programs and/or special benefits are in themselves extremely racist and do nothing positive for the minority in the long run or big picture except to cause resentment and increase racial differences. I cannot see how the government which supposedly employs our best and brightest continue to support and produce this nonsense. The latest I heard if was with the last stimulus a black farmer got 120% debt forgiveness while the white farmer got 100%. Ridiculous! How can they even justify this nonsense when they are suppose to level the playing field for all, fairness and equality for all. I must also agree with @madmax and @johnbb... Maxine waters could do nothing that would change my opinion that she is pure evil and needs to be lock away for the rest of her days.
This one really burns me up USDA to begin paying off loans of minority farmers in June For a long time there was indeed some pretty blatant discrimination in the USDA and Federal Judges agree and ordered reforms and payouts to those that were discriminated against that were actually put at a disadvantage and financially harmed by that discrimination. The funny thing is that was largely being denied loans and subsidies based solely on Race/Culture. In a series of Court Rulings over the last 30 years that field was leveled. Now the USDA is going the polar opposite and employing reverse discrimination. And it is not just the USDA it is pretty much all of the alphabet agencies and the race baiter politicians buying votes by "Elect me and I will give you free stuff" I guess I did everything wrong my entire adult life. I left home dirt floor poor, joined the military at 17 (graduated early from high school and scored very high on the ASVAB had my choice of MOS and chose 74D that got me to 25 years old and most of the way to a MBA spent from 25-27 finishing up the MBA and working for a AG Chemical Company. Also saved most of my pay and enlistment bonuses. Most of my youth was spent raising hogs and chickens when not stealing vehicles and taking them to the Uncle's chop shop for fun and profit And I always wanted to return to the small farm gig. So I applied for the first time farm buyers loan and was denied and did not get the 360 block of land I wanted. I did buy 6.5 acres in 1998 and have been doing this ever since independent of the USDA and earning a damn good living without debt, subsidies and farm programs. In 2008 I sold the 6.5 acres and bought 40 acres that had just be enrolled in a CRP Contract and the first thing I did was buy it out of the Contract, not to painful since it was only a month into the contract. I applied again for the first time farm buyers loan for the 40 acres and was again denied, so paid cash for it. 2010 I bought a 250 acre central IL farm in a Auction that went for $960 per acre pulled $250,000 out of my retirement fund to pay for it and cash rent it to a grain farmer up there and it pays a bit short of $20,000 per year and every fall when I get that check it goes back into the retirement fund. It will have paid me back in full next year and then it is just 20k per year in profit. I am up to 145 acres at my personal farm now from the original 40. Combination of hogs, cattle, rotating grain/hay fields, fruit trees and market gardens. The only tax payer money I have taken was a CRP contract that only had a year left on a 35 acre piece and the high tunnel grant. Around 2016 the FSA guys started coming around trying to get me to sign up for every program under the sun and every year I tell them that they can just get off my property but that they are welcome to kiss my ass before the go. I have ZERO debt, Assets well over 2 mil and generate between $80,000-$120,000 in net income per year and keep my personal living expenses down in the 20k per year range and add the excess into safe investments and physical assets that either maintain value or increase in value. When I left home my assets were 3 changes of clothes, $257 in cash and a 1971 1 ton international pick up truck ( That I still have in a barn and use to make runs to the grain elevator to withdraw feed from my grain bank with. LOL cheaper to have the elevator grind it, mix it, and put it in 1 ton bulk bags than for me to keep it in a grain bin, and maintain a feed mill... the last time the $560 drive belt broke on the mill it went to the scrap yard! And no money changes hands with the elevator for the grinding supplement added to the feed just pay with the grain in the bank and current market value. And I digress as usual LOL. The point is if I can make it to where I am without Government handouts and loan forgiveness ANYONE should be able to make it. Hell no it was not a easy road from there to here. It took years of working, saving and doing without to save up the money to buy my way into the game. Then a few years of learning the game and the players, who the cheaters are, who the honest folks are and who will welcome you with a outstretched hand and a knife in the other hand that they will will stick in yer back if it benefits them. LOL as you can imagine I have some pretty brutal debates with relatives back on the REZ that usually end with them calling me Apple and me calling them Hang Around the Fort Blanket Asses.

They create the problems and then pose as the only ones that can fix the problems.......... the whole while maintaining the status quo that the problems intentionally created. The liberal demoRATS can't outright buy votes so they use all these minority programs to buy them off and keep them on the government plantation and sadly they keep voting them in. Anyone remember back to 2010 when the Demo sponsored Dodd-Frank Act was passed? It was supposed to work wonders and help each and everyone on credit, banking, finance, etc. What I remember was that my credit card annual rates went from 3.5% to 29%. Oh yeah, each act the feds pass are to "help" us. Yeah, right.
Dodd-Frank Act was the cause of the crash in 2008. Banks were forced to lend money to people who had no business get a home mortgage . These bad loans were bundled with good loans and sold and when the bad loans went belly up people banks etc lost their shirts and the house bubble exploded.
