M Yes, that's a table leg and a pile of bricks. Low tech hot wire cutter for foam. This was a quicky rig to cut some foam for a lantern bucket. With a longer throat you can make one that will neatly and accurately cut firearm shaped cut-outs in rifle case foam. All you need is a battery charger and a wire. I've used coat hanger and stainless steel safety wire. Both work. Lighter wire is easier to hook to the terminal screws. Find a setting on the battery charger that makes the wire glow without burning through it, and you're ready to cut foam.
A framing square is an amazing tool ,, there is a book out ,, somewhere,, I've been to a few book stores , and the people have been clueless to help me ,, but the book is supposed to be able to use the square for all kinds of things. Somehow , you can stand back from a tree and get the height of the tree , and how many board feet of lumber in it ,, while its still standing. But thats a cool trick there as well.
