Of course,in the 70s, the know nothing peacenicks thought it best to go off to communes and sing peace songs, hide and make love not war while the commie regrouped and filled our Universities with their brand of BS to allow more time for them to plan a undertaking to take over the minds of the Grads to think their way was the only way. This to start with K-12 indoctrination for the next generation of Dems to believe their own propaganda. It's all in the facts of real news and publications before the take over, you just have to look for it yourself.

Yes, history is written by the victors (and by non belligerents), but it is also written and created by the losers, often in the form of counterfactual myths and legends....hence the 'Lost Cause' myth attached to the American Civil War, and the sprinkling of post reconstruction confederate hero monuments around American cities and towns, particularly, though not exclusively, in the American 'South'. Arthur Thompson introduces the anecdote of an associate of his, revealing that the State of Arkansas had only just completed repayment of it's American Civil War bond(s). Unless there is some credible citation of that claimed 'fact', I'm not inclined to accept that assertion at face value, given that a number of secessionist states repudiated their war debts upon the failure of the secessionist cause. The North remained burdened with their Civil War debts for many years, finally discharging their debts, some 3 decades later. I think you hit the nail on the head with this. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a historic precedent for a play book on how to defeat communists. I don't think anyone has ever successfully transformed a communist country back into a Republic. Once their established, I don't think there's any going back.

I hate to agree with @chelloveck but many if not most communists counties end up failing and returning to some form of capitalism. See the 1973 Chilean Coup. Reminds me of an old joke: What did the communists use before candles? Lightbulbs.
