I was the worst procrastinator ever growing up, must have drove my parents nuts! I’m much better now but......My passenger side windshield wiper stopped working on the commuter. I was sure it was just a loose nut and I’m tired when I get home, I’ll get it in the morning. I forget of course. In a rainstorm on the freeway it suddenly bites and works but, it’s out of time with the other. They’re both stuck in an inverted “V” position. They pop loose eventually and the driver side wiper gets launched around the corner to the driver side window. I’m laughing so hard I can hardly breathe. It’s truly unsafe to pull over so I have to roll with it a few miles. Peeps must be dying looking at it like I am. The moral is don’t be like me. Lol.
Yup...put off a cheap simple repair until it morphs into a more expensive job. I love customers that do that.

I used to be a cheap skate and put things off to save money. No longer, now I go immediately to the shop and pay for it done.
It kind of reminds me of the "For the want of a nail" story...or the aphorism "a stitch in time". So much is disposable these days, that running repairs may be impractical or uneconomical...however, if your life, or well being and safety depends on it...get it repaired or replaced as soon as possible. The time for regrets whilst occupying a burial plot, or after cremation are of no consequence to oneself, but maybe to some extent, the concern of others.
Procrastination is like masturbation. It feels good for the moment but in the end you realize that you are only screwing yourself.
Something simple turned into a $hit$how all because.........Good thing I’m not a jet-airplane mechanic.
Come to think of it I put off my vasectomy appointment years ago too. Next thing I know someone “tricks me” and along comes the boy.
