Neighbors built me a solid brass model of my bike for a surprise gift. They are now making a helmet to hang off the bitch seat. Got to love this area in the Spring, great bike weather. Hand on the throttle, foot on the gears, ass in the saddle and I'm out of here!

Very well done, Thank you for sharing it. With the idiots on TV, nice to see some of the real world still exists.

Yes, it still needs a little work, the exhaust manifold is not connected to the engine and pipes yet, and it needs a glass for the headlamp.

Nice,, leave it like she sits,, those parts would probably rattle off somewhere down the road anyway ,,,:ROFLMAO: ,,,, was making a trip one day ,, I was at the back of the pack,, had a buddy running the chase truck , following behind me,, was coming up on a small town,, the pack started slowing down,, i went to down shift , and my foot about hit the pavement,, my damned shift lever had fallen off the bike coming down the road..the pack didn't know i had a problem,, but i was able to limp through town in 4th gear. When we finally stopped, my buddy in the chase truck ran up and handed me my shift lever,, he said he saw it fall off ,, and bounced off the road a flew over the cab of the truck , barely missing his windshield. He was able to stop and pick it up and catchup to the pack before we ever stopped. Plenty of 2 wheeled good times and memories. Need to get out this year and make some more.

Boss always said he had never had as bad a day on his bike as his best day at work. He went to Sturgis about 15 years ago, got tangled up with some group of riders and ended up going out thru the west on the old trails, thru the national parks, ghost towns etc, Called into work, said he had 6 weeks of vacation owed to him, didn't know just when he would be back, checked in with his wife every couple days, came back when he was broke and the sun and wind burns got to bad. Still talks about it. Sometimes the best things in life, motor cycle trips, kids, camping or fishing, aren't really planned, the just happen and God willing, you are along for a memorable time.

If you are going to be more than a tank of gas from home, carry two spare voltage regulators. A buddy of mine had to ride bitch behind me when he forgot the spares and we had to go home for them. I've not let him forget it.

My old shovelhead came with electronics. I put a different electronic setup in it years ago, that ran with stainless steel flyweights and a pickup coil that ran on the camshaft. I carried a set of points in my tool bag,, if the electronics went out ,, all i had to do was remove the pickup coil, mount the points , choke, kick , and ride.

Haha... I worked for an electronics company years ago. Early 90’s and Harley was having voltage regulator problems and we bid on designing and supplying them with a better replacement. We designed and built ECM’s that could go a million miles bolted to the side of a 14 liter diesel truck engine block, this was a chip shot for us. They rejected our bid and bought something that was only a few bucks cheaper. We heard that new one was crap also. Cheap asses.
