You had better get your fire wood in and ready,it’s going to get cold the next few days. I’m thinking about wearing two sets of insulated underwear instead of the single pair I have on now. The first of next week it’s supposed to get down to 7* here in north Louisiana. It’s supposed to snow also. That ain’t supposed to happened here, not Louisiana. Were is Al Gore when you need him.
7 below? Hm. Well, topped off the propane day before yesterday. With wind chill, we're apt to see an effective 15 below. Cold here is a nuisance, but no where near the PIA of a foot of snow. Cold does NOT routinely cause outages like wet snow does. (But the backup wood stove is loaded and tindered, one match will do it.)
Here in the bight, we had snow, freezing rain, snow and more rain again. That was a couple of weeks ago. Now predicting more dry powder. (2"-4") At least you can plow snow. Sub-zero temps too. Wind chills really down there. O.M.11 is right, were is Al Gore? Flying around on his private jet? Ura-Ki I empathize with you about that much ice.
These were from a few days ago, Looks pretty....add clouds and wind so now its pretty freaking cold...
Yall gonna shut-down up there I would go help you but the grounds way too hard, I'd just keep falling down. I need mud to walk in.
Wow, no one is escaping it. Supposed to be a high of only (+) 62 here on Sunday with an overnight low down to (+) 37. Maybe even a little rain.
Gonna get cold here in the southern Texas panhandle, also. Low Saturday night is predicted to be -3F!! Minus 3??? No way. The highs for the next few days is going to be 30F or lower. Mostly lower. Plus snow Saturday nite and Sunday. I'm almost ready for summer again. Or a nice gumbo.
Snowed Monday around 5 inches by Wednesday it was packed down to 3ish inches . Wednesday we got 3-4 inches right at rush hour totally snarling traffic . It took me 3 hours to drive home (12 miles) . They are predicting 9-12 Monday into Tuesday and more later in the week. So far I have been using my Gravely 2 wheel tractor and a blade to move it . Tonight I dug out my snow blower . The blade is faster until you run out of places to push snow, blower gets it away from you better
I had five inches of snow on the ground this morning, with another round coming through tonight. Probably end up with 9 inches or so.... pretty good for the West side of the PNW. Heavy wet Cascade concrete........
Northan Canuk is cold , -5c and 2mm of 1/32 of snow . Snowing now to get ? Panel cleaning ready, MD530 ready if its cold. S
