The DP stops 2 things. Repeat offenders and their ability to pass on information to others about how to do a crime and get away with it.
There are about 2.3 million people incarcerated of which 2600 are on death row. So will removing 0.113% of the potential instructors, of which 95% failed and did get caught, really make much difference in the training ground? And how many prisoners actually escape from a max security prison where the life w/o parolers are kept? Not trying to be snarky, just a bit pragmatic. I won’t say anymore. Have fun. AT
No, that reduction in teaching staff will mean nothing (ignoring the budgetary concerns) but those few are NOT the Only instructors in the big house. Once again, incremental improvements are to be applauded.
If you do the crime,,, do the time. Take a life ,, give a life. An eye for an eye. Televise the executions. That Sheriff Arpaio out in Arizona, or wherever he was ,, had a pretty low rate of repeat offenders. All these bleeding heart people forget the reason these people are in there ,,,,, for not giving a damn about people like them. I don't know why all these people think they are in there ,, its not because they're delivering food to the needy. If my ass is dumb enough to get thrown in prison for doing dumb $hit ,, and I'm going to spend any length of time there ,,, give me the DP ,,, and make it quick . It might take awhile for them to start realizing,,, it ain't no family picnic no more.

If I screwed up in a bad way doing something my dad had told me not to do,I did not get a whipping, I got a royal beating. I forgot to close a gate one time and all the cows got out on the highway,took a long evening getting them back in. After supper that night my dad took me out to the barn and beat the shit out of me,missed a week of school because my mother did not want other people seeing my bruise body. One thing I learned that night was to listen to what my father said and close all gates behind you on the way out. After my dad cooled down he apologized for what he did,but I never forgot to this day,close those gates. All those beatings I got growing up must have worked,I’m 78 and have never been arrested for anything.
