We (most nations) are broke. We consume more than we produce. We owe so much money that the government couldn't pay it back by taxing us at 100 percent and taking all our stuff. We stay afloat by issuing debt that sugar daddy china is buying. We pay back the debt by creating more debt. It's like making minimum credit card payments for one card with another followed by another but the card has no limit. As long as sugar daddy china buys the fed's debt. We are golden. Why worry, our great grandkids will be paying for this party. The day China cashes in their t-bills or refuses to buy more .. then we are done .. in a matter of months. And we will be taking a lot of nations with us. China will be watching and choosing the prime bits and pieces in the aftermath. Until then .. party like there is no tomorrow and spend like you are never going to pay it back.
China just may demand payment in resources like our coal, oil natural gas, oil, timber, grain, pork they process---probably worth more than Bidumbs useless Harriet Tubman 20 dollar bills.

I stand corrected. LOL! Personally, I do not think much longer. I thought after 3 November that they wouldn't be so crazy as to press on certain issues that would cause severe dissent but I am beginning to believe it truly is game-on and they will get theirs no matter what happens to the country or its people, no matter what the cost. This also goes for financial issues - they could care less about the future and maybe its because they know it all will end up in the toilet so they are getting theirs while they can. I am saying at the end of Uncle Joe's 4-year term we're going to be knee deep into it and too late to get out of it so no matter who gets the next election we'll never crawl out of the muck. You think Obama was bad? Stay tuned. So, I'm betting 4-5 years. Yep, not much longer. I was nice to have a bit of a breather for 4 years and to raise one's head with hope again - wasn't it. I see the Dems as having the steam engine wide open, they see the oncoming train, but they want to have as much track behind them before the crash and they aren’t slowing down one tiny bit. Well, this August, we're coming up on 50 years since Nixon cut the tie of paper dollars to gold redemption, so if they can manage for another 50 years, I'd say most of us won't care. But given the near vertical climb in the printed fiat currency supply over the last few years, my guess is we are on short borrowed time.
