Anchorage has reopened (limited) school fro students to attend in-class.

I asked my wife how it went. (she coordinates busing for her school)

She kept talking about the Titanic....

So, I'd say pretty good, given that the ASD has been a train wreck for decades....

Schools open in your AO? Funny on the timing, eh?

Since everyone is to wear masks for the next hundred days, it must be OK. The Hair Sniffer in Chief must have said it was OK for gatherings at less than "social distances." Then again, that may result in confirming his statement that the worst is yet to come without acknowledging that he is causing it.

Don't harsh on Dear Leader. He and his Blue Meanie minions are just so much smarter than you - be happy they are willing to force their ideas down your throat....for your own good Citizen.

in my AO, the schools have been opened, then closed, reopened with alternating days, then closed again, and reopened alternating days. With online learning the entire time as well. Gotta suck to figure out child care if you are an essential worker.

And meanwhile where I live, a small bedroom community of about 5,000 with no real town center, the owner of independent garage where my car is waiting to be fixed called and said he and one of his mechanics have covid and it will be a while till his last remaining mechanic can get to it if he doesn't get it, the head principle of our local school just tested positive, and our Town Clerk, handles car licenses, property taxes, etc, had it and had to quit to move back home, she is single and about 30, and her mother, in 50's, is basically taking care of her. She got it about 4 months ago and has never really been well since. Then I know people who thought they had a cold for a couple days, local church pastor for one, that tested as having it and being over it, no real statement if he could have passed it on at any time while it was active In our local area, southern NH, it is just now starting to peak out.

Since car has not ran in a couple weeks, electrical problem, Subaru dealer charges an arm and a leg for service, local man abut half as expensive, so I have been driving my 2010 F-250 4 wheel drive snowplow truck. Get about 10 mpg and has 26 gallon tank. Filled it today , 1-22-21, and gas was $2.39 a gal for regular, last May I paid a low of just over $1.60 a gal. That is an increase of about $15 for a tank full, and the Thief's anti oil production policies haven't kicked in yet. May be an interesting ride, perhaps to the "poor house".. Am finishing up rebuilding a 24 by 30 foot garage, bought materials last May, and for most part raw materials, 2"" by 8", etc have just about doubled if purchased today, go to the grocery store and cheap house brands, $1.99 oatmeal for example, are sold out but full stock of Quaker Oatmeal at $3.88 at Walmart, about a buck more for organic. We are just starting the winter and the availability and quality of the fresh fruits and veggies at any price is limited. One week no lettuce, bagged prepared lettuce etc at about $5 a pound and small greens up to $7 a pound are hanging on the wall and people are buying them rather than the old 99 cents head lettuce that was available for about 20 years at the same store.

Think it will hold together this winter even though about a million new people applied for unemployment for first time last week, up from about 200,000 last year before covid, but without checks and gov covid payments in unemployment, etc, have a feeling it will all fall apart about this summer. Hope and Pray to God that the democrats know what they are doing and that it all works out well. Have no real faith in their policies, version of economics, or placing some sort of ethical view on the nature of climate, housing, employment, ethnic relationships, rather than basing it on some rational system. Kind of like sitting in life boat after the Titanic sunk, may be some relief that you survived, but no great sense of achievement on the wonderful trip to America.
