He coaches youth baseball for real. Good on him. “Two hands, two hands, Squeeze it” I’m betting. Lol.
After that crushing defeat we continued with all-stars(George missed the cut) and had a great run. Lost in another championship game though. Boo. I still survived. I rode my new XR80 until school started. Yay.
In all seriousness the Educators have all gone bonkers I feel. (Always a few exceptions) I’d home school in a New York Minute! The kids can still participate in extracurricular activities like some wrestlers I knew. Fantastic kids, fantastic wrestlers. “But the socialization.....” I call BS on that.
The need for "socialization" remains debatable to me at least. How did kids growing up on the frontier compensate for no other kids within XX miles? They did grow up to be good citizens, did they not? Billy the Kid was an exception, and he did have kids his age in his local area.
Really????? I've gotten rid of lots of guests with a suggestion of Jarts. Keep them proudly displayed and ready for use
We've got a couple sets up at the cottage. Still bust them out every once and awhile. Alas as we've gotten older and our reflexes have slowed we are at least smart enough not to play chicken. But just barely.
Stretch / Twister with girls and then doctor. Was always having a learning experience, as to date also. Just don't Stretch or Twist as well , but i'll still play Doctor !! Sloth
In those days some coaches started something that was also strange. After a baseball game you’d clap for the fans. I get the intent but after awhile it just became embarrassing. Sort of like “Thank you for your service” with police, fire and military. At first a honorable gesture and then.......Wears out quickly I’d surmise. What the heck do I know? I’ve never received Father of the Year, yet.
I feel like a jerk for posting this but....In youth wrestling the state champ got a sweet sweatshirt with that title emblazoned on it. I saw kids 30 minutes into the start walking/prancing around with the sweatshirt. Turns out that for example if you were a 145 pound 8 year old with nobody in your class.....State Champion! I’m a terrible person, I know. Dang it.
The wave of problems coming for girls/ladies sports is going to be brutal, all in the name of equality/insanity. There’ll be outcry at first, then heavy recruitment for example in girls fast pitch. A twelve year old pitcher that can hit 70 mph and bat cleanup “is exactly what we need for that ASA National Title.” Wait for it, I know what I speak of. Thanks Joe. Just to be clear I’m all for sensible equality. Keep it real.
Throw a few trannies into the mix just for S&G, and the whole concept comes apart. Dunno how many genders are claimed these days, but I can see leagues for each. Then comes the howls of equal opportunity until ----.
