About a year ago a gent from Europe posted on a gun board I'm on wanting to go shooting with his GF when he came for a visit to my general area. So I invited him for a day of shooting and food. We DM'd a few times and had a plan. Unfortunately the Covid-Great Reset-NWO-Demic forced him to cancel the trip and I hadn't heard from him since until this week. His DM was just a "Howyadoin' with this covid stuff?" type thing, but for some reason I couldn't keep my reply frothy and light. Here's a C&P of the reply: "Things are crazy. The covid thing made most anybody with power become petty tyrants. It's been a study in abnormal psychology here. Things are also scary. The left has declared war on America by blatantly rigging the election and unless President Trump pulls off a miracle between now and Jan. 20th there is potential for a civil war and I mean a real shooting war. People are angry and on edge. The left has overplayed their hand and it won't take much to set things off. As a veteran, my oath has never expired and though I'm old now I still honor it and will take up arms if necessary to defend my country from the leftist-CCP enemies of the Constitution. So things are actually kind of grim, but truth and light will eventually prevail. Stay in touch and stay safe. Some of this is going to spill over to the rest of the world..."
We wait in anticipation for his reply for it will be interesting to see if he agrees with your evaluation and, of course, his opinion of it. Where is he in Europe, Germany?
The Netherlands. He was a sniper during his military service. I'm not sure, but service may be mandatory like Israel and Switzerland. Yes his response should be interesting.
Yes ,service is mandatory, Sweden and many other countries are that way . It gives all a respect for themselves and others .. Sloth

Yes ,service is mandatory , But I didn't mean it to be military, Service to YOUR country , in a way that you are. Were all different , Im ranked , but not out of speaking well or writing things , Because I can train and teach how to diagnose / fix nuts and bolts , I'd make you sit on the can if I was to cook in a KP. So all pull their time into what venue they are good at and they are also let to explore things they never knew they could !! Its a good system . Sloth

3 years, as it'd take a year at least to tough todays participation trophy kids up and get the whining to stop!
