Anybody else get the BATFE e-mail today about stabilizers? They are open to our input. Bwahahahahahaha!!!!!!! ...right.
If all of a sudden these are guns why not just run the buyer on 4473 them and let the 99% or so of people have them and put the 1% or so who are prohibited people put them in jail since they already took possession? The reason why they don't go after about 99.9% of people who lie on the 4473 because the government doesn't really see it as a crime and just let's them go. You know the system worked and a prohibited person didn't get a gun from a dealer, mission accomplished, end of story, happy endings for everyone, ladies first.
Game plan. Pick 2 things that they want to ban. In this case, 80 percent lowers and Pistol braces. Go after both let the 2A'ers go crazy. Then figure out which one is more important to the people. Then go after the one that has less support, assuming that it will be the low hanging fruit at this point and then ban that with little fanfare. It's just like Hi-caps and bumpstocks .. we still have Hi-caps, bumpstocks .. not so much. This time they will probably ban 80 percenters as the noise for pistol braces is really vociferous. Get ready to watch Trump allow us to lose another brick in the 2A foundation.
Erm, but they are not guns. Its a chunk of plastic and some bent sheet metal. Sooner or later you'll need a background check to get plumbing supplies from Home Depot or auto parts store if we keep letting them infringe upon us.
Right now they are going after a specific kit since it supposedly has everything you need to make a gun in that kit. 80% AR15 lowers by them selves they aren't calling those guns. Now if ghostgunner made a package where you buy the CNC machine and it comes with an 80% lower, 1 parts kit, an upper and some mags they might say that is a gun.
WRONG AGAIN!!! The current director started with the ATF during the commie Clinton years and has nothing to do with Trump. Libtards always get their so called facts WRONG!!!
But the infringement is happening under Trumps watch. The ATF and DOJ is part of the executive branch. And the chief executive is Donald Trump for like 30 something more days. So ultimately, he's responsible. IMHO, we fought harder for protecting our 2A freedoms under Obama than we have under Trump. I think we fell asleep thinking that 'Thank god our guy is in office, our guns are safe for now'. Bit by bit, we are losing.
What you wrote is true but that was not the point of my post. I was pointing out the the current director was not a Trump appointee like someone else was trying to suggest. It is painfully obvious that Trump is not really in charge. He can get away with some things they (whoever they are) let him do but major moves are not his. Just to mention a couple things...His talk about getting a committee together to investigate and indict Hitlery during their last debate together disappeared after being elected and his 2 picks for attorney general have been completely worthless cleaning out the swamp.
It looks like the EO banning bump stocks will be thrown out. That sets legal presedent for 2A infringement by EO. And that will be they sign the EO, short pause and it goes straight into the Oval Office fire place. But the ATF can still go after them in their never ending game of "what are we going to say is a machine gun today".
It's a case in PA where Philly where the city banned bump stocks. It went to the state supreme Court and they shot it down.
Any updates on this? I don't know anyone who can give a review on these anyone? Polymer80 | Premier Manufacturer of Polymer AR Receivers, Pistol Frames, and Handguns
And this is why you NEVER buy anything that leaves a paper trail to your door! Spend the extra money, go to a gun store or gun show and pay CASH! The same goes for ammo, magazines, parts and accessories! I tell people that it is gonna be hard to explain how you kept buy stuff for a gun that you claim was lost, stolen or sold years ago!
What ever they come up with, it will not pass the SCOTUS Constitutional scrutiny test… Home built firearms predate the Constitution, and have been legal throughout the recorded history of the United States of America…
