Well now that you are "recovered" ..... good time to come out with that chainsaw and have some fun. Glad you don't have the "vid" and survived the test.
I am, by no means, a medical expert. But I think that it is very telling that, on a normal year, there are approximately 4 million deaths world wide from pneumonia. People are losing their damned minds over 1.5 million supposed Covid deaths. DW
The swab up the nose tickled and made me laugh which was good because the line at the testing site was over an hour. Glad you don't have the 'rona @Meat. As for number inflation of deaths.... A coroner in Colorado is raising objections about her state's health department protocols after two individuals who had died from gunshot wounds were listed among the county's COVID-19 deaths. People are going hungry. So many restaurants have closed and the place were I get my pedicures is barely hanging on. It is sad to go into some of these businesses and see one maybe two people shopping. A food shelf just opened near my AO. This is a wealthy area yet there are many cars picking up food. It is crazy. The stock market is booming, housing costs are rising yet there are many who are going broke. Very strange times.
Chicago Crime, Murder & Mayhem | Criminal Infographics | HeyJackass! These are believable numbers. What’s fake is they blame Indiana. Indiana for Pete’s sake!
Priorities dear. If I am going to get corona and starve at least my toes will look great. I also gave her a tip bigger than the service.
Guess how many folks are in arrears in regards to their utility bills? My guess is 25 to 50 percent. (I might have inside knowledge) Guess who’s going to be taking their lumps to make up this difference in the next 3 to 5 years? Not those in arrears. We will take it in the arrears, the hard-working folks.
The utility companies might never recover the arrears and as you say, have to pass it on to paying customers (like hospital do)......but I suspect those folks will get cut off from future service, or the companies risk mass non-payment. The electric company here gives keeps a very short lease.....once you exceed your deposit (40-100 bucks depending on your credit), they pull the meter quite soon. No payment plan.
I went to a well known Irish bar in Tacoma yesterday. We had lunch in a tent that cost the Owner $200 a week just to keep propane heated. Him and his wife are doing all of the serving and such, with two guys in the kitchen.... a skeleton crew an just breaking even to stay open.... a normal hot spot that would be crowded most days of the week. Loyal customers that over-tip are the fine line between staying in business and going broke...... keep patronizing your local favorites as best you can... they need your help!!!!
Exactly. Our income hasn't changed so if anything, we've been frequenting the hardest hit small businesses more than ever. Local owned waxing salon, bbq shack, cheesecake food truck, vietnamese restaurant, gah we're getting so fat lol. Also the home businesses, lots of folks baking for the holidays for extra money around here plus people willing to do odd jobs around the house. I told the Mr any Xmas presents we buy, we're buying from the little guys. F Walmart and Amazon. They've made billions off of this mess and will most likely get even more from the "stimulus" package the Dems cook up.
For clarity King Inslee has ordered no disconnects. Now If I’m a scumbag and have that type of leverage..........No pay. That money can now go up my nose or in my lungs. I’m sometimes bummed because 20 years ago I’d argue this was the best state in the Union. Now, bottom 10. Libs. Boo.
FYI. The avalanche started (all crews sent home )with a false positive test. Lol. Imagine that for a second. Some internet Schmuck you’re familiar with part of the fake hysteria. All true. Inslee vacations for a whole bunch of people, based on utter nonsense. That poor Sap in the parking lot with me they were hollering at, “You’re positive!” Who really knows? Good grief. Lol.
