Why do you have to bring religion into everything? Some of us have more conservative political views that have NOTHING to do with religion. Yes, undoubtedly there is a significant cohort of fiscal conservatives who have little to no commitment to religious beliefs, however, fiscal conservatism isn't limited to godless heathens... religious social conservatism and fiscal conservatism are not mutually exclusive segments of the conservative population...often enough, conservatives with religious commitments embrace both of those aspects of conservatism. Betsy De Vos does not conceal her commitment to Christian nationalism, and she has used her wealth, political influence, and her cabinet position in furtherance of her religious social agenda...it is an aspect of her 'stewardship' of her portfolio that rightly ought be acknowledged...and is an appropriate topic for criticism. Some here seem a little tetchy that her mission is being criticised / mocked...they would prefer that she be given a free pass...after all, she is doing god's work. You are so ignorant of what is actually going on in the USA that it is appalling. I have school age children that attend public school. Exactly ZERO has changed with school curriculum, funding, basic operation etc during the Trump administration. The covid fiasco has had a much greater influence on educational policies than any federal administration in recent history. Education in the US is governed more by states than by the federal government. My children learn evolution in school not religious teachings. Progressives do have too much control over most educational policies. Common core is a joke of a federal program. That much is true but the common core curriculum has been bastardized and should be completely scrapped. I am all for states having complete control over everything concerning education with the federal government only providing a list of topics that must be learned to graduate high school. I think that progressive political indoctrination type topics should be banned in schools.
And in my state a general rule of thumb is taught and each School District is in charge of the real teaching. Parents willing take part of school meetings and what is taught. Get a life and wake up down under.
