  1. If any one else likes the M1 Carbine, Widener's has 1080 rds Korean .30 carbine ammo mid '80s manufacture, Fmj, 10 rd chargers w/guide, bandoliers, in .50cal ammo can. $385. Shipping + tax to my QTH was another $50. I ordered some Wed. morning. Just checked them again, now $414, they upped the priced $30 overnight.

Thanks, got more .30 carbine than I'll ever use, rarely shoot them unless we do the machine gun day thing and break out the M2s. I got a bunch of 7.62 nato I'll swap for .38 super or .45 acp though.

That's one I've never gotten to try. Love the M1 Carbines. What is the M2 like to fire?
What kind of .45acp are you huntin'?

My Father had an M-1 Carbine and it was fun to shoot. I think it was a Universal. He was always selling and trading guns, and one day they were gone.

All the ROK .30 carbine I've bought was boxer primed. Have had no problems with the boxes I've opened.

Im good. I was running low on H110 (the only powder you really need for 100 and 110gr 30 carbine loads) so I bought a keg.

PSA has it in stock periodically. Last time I noticed was a few months back, but haven't been looking for that particular round.

    Had one years ago.
Loaded it with Speer or Hornady 100 grain half jackets and used it for blasting jackrabbits.

    I bought some, well 500 83gr 8mm nimbu pistol bullets. They're .320'' diameter.
Hopefully I can smash them through a .308" die and make them shootable in a 30 carbine. Might need to buy a .312-.314 sizer die as an in between die.
    They were available and cheap.

My 30 nimbu bullet scheme worked. I was able to turn 500 cheaper than dirt 8mm (0.321'') 83gr nimbu bullets into 30 cal (0.308'') bullets for the cost of the sizer which I needed one anyways for other reasons too.

Also RMR dot com has like a million new primed armscore 30cb brass in stock for about 23 to 27 cents a shell.

So if you're like me and just got your first 30cb a few years ago and haven't had 20 to years to accumulate good ammo here is your chance to up your 30cb stash.

Plus I don't really want a bunch of lame 50 year old 110gr FMJ 30cb ammo.

The 30 nimbu FMJs are actually pretty soft and have a very thin jacket and will be doing like 2,300 to 2,400 fps. These will be pretty nasty at close range.
Then got plenty of traditional 30cb soft points to load too.
