Those toys had to be tiny, considering the "footlocker" dimensions. I remember this ad from various comic books as a kid.

About an inch tall. I still dig them up in the yard occasionally. When I was a kid I had plastic knights in armor. I still have three or four, and they're 8-10" tall.

I had the classic "green army men", about two inches tall. Bigger plastic tanks, trucks, etc. Now the (China made) GAM are very different, poorly sculpted. Not very realistic.
Wish I had my toys from my youth all those decades back. Many would be worth serious money now.

I'd be happy for my old bicycle - a JC Higgins. The bearings were all Timkin roller bearings. That is when the bike were made to last

I had one of those JC Higgens, except mine had the three speed rear hub. Heavy as a brick, but reliable!

I'd like to see one of these for sale, cheap:

Don’t remember the German 20mm but I sure remember the Lahti 20mm being advertised. A neighbor had a friend come over to his place once and he had one in the back of his Rambler station wagon. Those were good days. The German one starred in Unintended Consequences I do believe.

Yup, the Solothurn was featured. Accounted for a chopper or two IIRC. $169 X 1000 today. Maybe.

  17. Saw a Lathi converted to .50BMG at a gun show. Couldn't afford it so I didn't ask the price.

UnSweetened Chocolate is what that is called... Just add a bit of milk and sugar, and you can fix it right up...

Yup..Henry used the Solothurn with turned down Vulcan projectiles (IIRC) to take out the helos
A quick look found that one had sold for $12,650 in 2011...not as bad as I'd expect.
