Welcome aboard from The Old North State. Sounds like you'll fit in just fine around here. There's a couple naughty Monkeys that some would prefer to swat with a branch than share a branch with, but everyone has their place in the tree.

Are you a solo radio restorer, or are you active in the antique radio scene online?

This beast I restored for my sister and her husband and it was sold off about 5 years ago- at a nice little profit margin, might I add, including pulling out the old 326 engine and transmission and stuffing in that 455 powerhouse. I redid all the metal work with stainless, repainted the frame (body off), and there was not one nut, bolt or item that I didn't remove, degrease paint and clearcoat! (I used to restore antique cars back in the 80's) :)

I restore antique radios for my family, ex-bosses and friends. I restored a 1936 Mills jukebox for my (then) boss a couple years back. Was going into work (plastic mold injection company. Lol. An unlikely place to restore a jukebox!) sometimes 6 or 8 hours before my shift started, just to work on it. Then I'd bring the capacitors home and bake them in the oven to stuff new components into the old shells, then reuse the old resins and then rewax. Then I made "new" dogbone resistors from epoxy with new resistors stuffed inside and painted them the correct colors to look like the originals. It played the old 78's, and it was LOUD and CLEAR!!!!! ;)

That is my plan. This winter she will get stripped down, cleaned up and new everything....other than splitting her. The motor runs strong and all hydraulics work with no issue.

A dumpy old tractor will allow you to feed yourself and others when, not if, SHTF! Although you might want to include some fuel, equipment and some spare parts. Seed too!
