I’ve been preparing, its late but better than never- this forum has some great ideas.
I have secured a bug out place if needed but I am tempted to bug in. I have vacation time saved but not sure if my job will let me take it for that entire first week of November....we shall see.

The company I work for works directly with fedex and right now the shipping times are behind by a day or two but its not terrible...yet...
I figured the job/customers and news will help me keep a pulse on if I should bug out or in.

Already discussed the plans to bug out with the other family members in the area and they want to bug in. If I leave then I am leaving them to defend for themselves. I’ve been trying to talk them out of it but with no luck.

 

Our mail in ballots were dropped in the box yesterday. Not mailed. We're in FL so we're practiced prepping for hurricane season. We built on that. Then last winter kinda saw the writing on the wall and beefed up the prep. We didn't run out of TP. lol. Didn't have to hit the stores much except to top off. 11 weeks? Lol. Oh yeah. So are we prepping for the election? For me, I'm collecting parts for some HAM projects to work on if we need to hunker down or get quarantined again (right.. it's hunting season and surfing season...quarantine yourself.). Mrs Madmaxine is hoarding crossword puzzles. We have a 7 month old cattledog puppy that takes many hours a day exercise, training, and 24/7 supervision or he'll find something to do (Destroy). Plenty of other projects too so... We're good.

Remembering the big city folks in my prayers. Y'all are gonna need it.

My youngest son (0311/former Grunt) took most of the clan out for a range day. He ensured everyone over the age of 10 could clear, load, fire (and hit the target @25M) safely on every kind of firearm he owned.
Bolt, semi and revolver/semiauto pistol. Shotguns not covered.

As much as I would have loved to play, I was busy doing the end of summer PM on all of the clan bicycles.

I really don't worry too much about media driven post-election hysteria locally - my worry is the stupidity will force the ports that feed Ak will be impacted/shut down. Then, it will get very 'real'.

I have no doubt the Left will have a massive tantrum when The Don is reaffirmed as POTUS. With a lame duck in office, they may be in for a surprise......

How about -- since social media is used to coordinate riots, it get shut down: Cell service to certain parts of hot-spot cites get shut down, only 911 calls allowed (yes, they can do this now with a few commands)
TV and Radio station told they will be held responsible for aiding and abetting...the list is quite long

If the Left steals a win, you can count on these and much more.....

getting the auxiliary fuel tank put in my jeep this weekend. Food situation is good. Freedom seeds are stocked up. Hubby is going to bow hunt to hopefully fill up our new chest freezer to supplement the main chest freezer. Solar is powering the house during the day. The big thing is water. I wonder if I could get away with putting in a well for lawn irrigation purposes only. The old unused well at our old house in last state is really missed here but being in fly over country is safer for everything else.

 

I think civil disturbances and then today on the radio the announcers were talking covid. Experts are projecting 3,000 deaths a day from covid in December. Adding civil disturbances and covid, makes me think there are plans to have people sheltering in place for a month++ this winter. I wonder if Black Friday will be canceled due to covid or protestors but either way if it is, more businesses will be closing. The amount of voter fraud and ballots being found makes me think this election will be contested.

PA, WI, NV have found ballots so far and we are a month out.

I was talking to a monkey yesterday I am in Co, he was in Florida. We both lost service. Not sure if that is normal. I can see one losing service but both of us had no service for a few minutes. I can see cell service being shut-down in riot areas.

My only preparation for voting is to be there and vote, nothing else in my OPSEC will change, even if it involves hostilities.

 

Yes, we are all set. We have been preparing for election day since 1 April and all plans are complete.

Also, my neighbors and my radio club are also prepared...and expecting the worse.

I truly cannot think of anything else to do...We replaced the well pump, got dental exams, bought an extra freezer and filled it with meat, wife is now nicely tuned up with her new rifle, did a huge amount of canning this year, even went to DMR radios specifically for more secure comms if needed, on and on and on... We're ready as we ever will be...

Honestly nothing is really changing here since 4 years ago. We are watching but out here I really don't see anything happening-at least at 1st. Sass will probably work from home like she has since my surgery. We will add a bit more to shopping trips but nothing crazy.
