Signs at the gate.

A lot of places in this country where that sign would get you a prison sentence if you actually did have to shoot someone, even if it was a righteous shoot.

 

@apache235 in the real world definitely, and in the jokes and humor thread, not so much.

We use to post, and chain lock gates on private property and those b@stard hunters that think the world owes them would go off to the side of a gate and cut the 5 wire fence. its a nightmare to round up the cattle make sure they arent injured (cattle are stupid) and then put up the fence.

You can post no trespassing all you want.... enforcement is a nightmare.and frustrating

 

Good replies and yes you have to be careful with what sign you put up. I like the idea of old targets with holes in them by the gate.

 

Well for folks that can’t understand signs, How about a punji pit just past the fence

 

gates on private property with LARGE NO TRESPASSING signs and shoot the signs from the back !!!

If they can think and not on drugs , they should put the brain in gear !!

Heres a thought ,,, for some of you that have a good distance from your house to the gate ,,,, off to the side of the gate ,,, line the top rail with tin cans ,,, when someone pulls up to the gate ,,, blow one of the tin cans off the rail.

 

Would that be considered a warning shot?

Shove a large rock (8'x15'x 2'thick) down out of the field behind me, dig a trench and plant it vertical, get sister-in-law to paint it.

 

It looked good the way it sat originally, but the sign is very cool. You have a sweet place Andy-from what you've posted,lol. Something I aspire our place here to get to.

 

The way it sat originally was horizontal and buried. I dug it up running a water line, could barely move it out of the hole with a backhoe...took a dozer to push it down the driveway to it's current location. Dug a 4-5' trench and with a dozer and backhoe, got it vertical. It's one humongus slab of rock !
