Looks to be heading up the Sabine river,How many of the monkeys are in the way? My lil cabin in the woods may take a lick,Hell I wanted a larger cabin anyway! Port Author,Beaumont,Port Neches, places like that will probably feel the pms of Laura the worst. I have plenty family members on the west side,Just standing by,Some are staying as of this posting. Yall stay safe out there!
If you believe in prayer, please pray for the folks around Lake Charles, their lives are in extreme jeopardy and their whole world is about to change. Neighbors won't be able to help much in putting it back together with this Pandemic, social distancing will stop those that survive from opening their doors to those that loose everything. Salvage companies are drooling, insurance companies are huddling, and Churches have been emasculated. They are not rioting, looting, or BLMing yet, but some will in the aftermath. I saw it after Katrina. Vultures tend to survive. BTW, you better pray, many of our nation's oil refineries are right there and we'll all see the difference at the pump.
True enough,Several refinery's in the main path. I have 1 cousin like a brother that's heading into Ark right now. Couple of sisters in the path,Another brother with 8 kids last I counted,More cousins than I can count in the path May end up like another Rita. I have a BIL that was trying to get home after Rita,Those old boys ''Appropriated'' a grader and cleared trees off the highway in order to get home.
I lived in the golden triangle for many years, and worked in Lake Charles. I'll be praying for folks in the area.
Predicted 20 foot storm surge? EEk! Folks better have their swim fins and floaty noodles handy if they didn't get out of Dodge..
More than that, Louisiana is flat as a pancake for the first 50/60 miles inland,Hopefully I-10 stops the wall if not before. My little hid-away camp in in-line for a hit,I wish I could have pulled my Honda 3500 out of harms way, Oh well....
Our weather guy is calling it an "un-survivable" storm surge. You Monkey's down there go for higher ground and that's an order. "Stuff" can be replaced, my Monkey's can't. Prayers go out to all of you down that way. This is gonna be a tough one. Keep us posted as you are able!
Thanks plenty for the thought's,I've gotten in touch with all but 1 sister,I'll be tracking her down tonight !
I know that part of our world. Have spent a bit of time passin through and in that state to the east of you. I will be working tonight and monitoring what is doing in your AO tonight. Keep ya head down and my thoughts and prayers at you.
It’ll just be a storm if it even makes it to Dallas Tx, those in Houston might get flooded again...not worried about flooding in Dallas.
