How to understand this " beyond the pale" we have now gone beyond English to Latin.

So the problem in Portland has now escalated to using Latin terms to describe the problem!

"Pale in this idiom comes from Latin pālus 'stake'; it means a fencepost, and by ordinary extension it also means the fence itselt, and the area it contains or delimits. So beyond the pale just means "outside the boundaries".

Cut to the chase and use terms the thugs understand "Assume the position punks you're under arrest."

Anyone who has been paying attention to the videos that are all over social media, the videos the rioters themselves have been posting since day 1, knows the media narrative about "only peaceful protests" and claims that everything was sunshine and unicorn farts until "Trump's Secret Police" showed up is complete BS. There's videos out there going back several years showing black bloc members stalking and attacking people who get isolated from the crowd. Throw a bottle to distract so another can smash with a skateboard and a third sprays the "racist kkk white supremacist" with bear spray, then run away screaming "THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR BEING A FASCIST!" And don't forget the newest insult to be added to injury. "WEAR YOUR MASK B*&$H!"

The ones who started out knocking off MAGA caps and running away have grown so emboldened now that they don't even care if 10 people are filming them while they kick a guy in the head. They believe all they need to do is cry, accuse the victim of being a racist, and the DA and local government will protect them, and so far they've been correct.

Except now a group has put out a sort of social warrant on the kicker (who BTW was posting to his Instagram account that he "might go to jail" because he "was fighting with a racist"), and they won't be copying the DA's catch and release program. While the police (who are completely hamstrung by their Mayor, DA, Governor, etc) urge this tool to turn himself in, these guys are hunting him. It took 4Chan what, 24 hours to turn up all of his personal information? Place your bets now on who gets to Marquise "Keese" Love first, the police, or the vigilantes.

 

I believe in the law, but ONE LAW for everyone and that's no longer the case. We've become a third world country with all the evil, corruption and destruction that entails.

I believe that many of us are doing our best to remain civil and to stifle our instincts to just handle it ourselves. But patience for many is at an ebb.

I think the breaking point will be November fourth. If Trump loses, the election was stolen and Patriots will have to respond. If Trump wins, the left will declare open warfare and we may have to respond in kind.
As frightening and unwanted as that is, we may have no choice.

I don't want this, I'm just an old guy who'd prefer to live out my days right here by the creek with a good book and a good cup of coffee.

We've had some of that BS down here but nothing like up in the PNW.
We just stay here quietly preparing. We do not go out unless we have to with the exception of our Fri or Sat date night. We've pretty much always been that way. We like being here. When we do go out, yes we are armed. We are not looking for anything. Should these knuckleheads venture out this way it will not end well for them. Should we be accosted while dining out, it will not end well for them.
It really is best to just leave the old men alone.

Yeah, Fox news so it must be fake except it matches the YT video above. No other news network is giving coverage that doesn't blame Haner for nearly being beaten to death. Locally that's progressed to Haner being a racist drunk driver targeting poor defenseless black people to serious questions about just why he was at the 711 anyway? Was he authorized to get an ICEE or a pack of cigs? It's like blaming a rape victim for wearing sexy underwear.

Highlights - but do watch the video in the Fox story:

• Starts with BLM speech in front of Federal Courthouse calling for violence.
• BLM spots white guy filming and start to bully him and roughly escort him away.
• At some point as they near the 7-11 they start to chase him, then at the 7-11 they start to beat and rob him.
• A woman (possibly trans?) verbally defends the man being beaten. Soon the BLM thugs begin beating and robbing her.
• The "truck guy" who was later savagely beaten, was at the 7-11 along with his female companion. He came to the aid of the woman who came to the aid of the man videotaping the BLM speech.
• He eventually retreated to the truck where he was surrounded. He was able to push his way through the growing crowd and attempted to flee.
• All BLM converge on the truck as he attempts to flee and eventually he crashes.
• They pull him out of the truck where he is beaten by a gang of thugs. Ultimately his truck is looted and Mr. Love kicks the defenseless man in the back of the head.

It should be obvious that the violence was performed by and with the assistance of front line BLM "protestors" and not just some random rioters or Boogaloo Boogeymen making them look bad.

 

Some day, and I suspect it will be soon, someone will be armed and Antifa will not like that.

Because I live in a heavily armed (CCW and open carry friendly) area, and deal with the armed public all the time I watch these videos and know things would end very differently here. That's why they don't happen here. It's tough to pick which car to go pound on when you don't know if it's just the driver, or everyone in the car that's armed.
