My M1 carbine stared put boring and politically correct. (the * denotes an evil feature added) I got an WW2ish M4 bayonet*, bayonet adaptor*, ditched the wood stock for a black*, pistol grip* with telescoping stock*. Then had the barrel threaded*, because I wanted a silencer* more than a bayonet, then I was like this is merica I can have both. So I will have to modify the bayonet adaptor and find a real short narrow 30 cal silencer so I will have to manufacture one. All your 30 cal silencers are pretty big. I need something that's about 1 inch wide and about 4 or 5 inches long, if it's 6 inches long the target will just get the tip, 7 inches, just a sharp edge. I finally found it. A solid stainless modular solovent trap that can go down to like 4 inches. My wife is like do I want to know why you need a carbine with a silencer and bayonet, I said coyotes are bad this year. The bayonet won't accidentally stab it's way straight through a mangy coyote and hit one of our dogs.
The closest one I shot was 3 or 4 feet away and I have only been living here for 3 years. So the possibility of actually dipping my bayonet in some blood is very real.
Not very gray, hope all the paper work is done. Used to worry about the kids hearing things, now it is the computer tattling on you. Karen both physical and cyber are alive and well and always awake.
Did you see the molotov cocktail post, yeah all my NFA stuff is on tax stamps. I have about 3 more silencers I want to form 1. But my wife will notice if I drop $600 on tax stamps in one month so I have to space it out.
The carbine could jam or I might have to use the bayonet to motivate the coyotes to release one of my dogs.
Version 1. Rebel SOS hunter 30 cal, surprisingly quiet. But note the lack of bayonet. Face back blast with full SOS not as bad as I expected at all. Definitely there. If you were wondering no I can't use the sites.
I haven't modified the bayonet adaptor, it needs to be about 1/2 inch further back. So the bayonetee wouldn't even get the tip.
This is the mockup. The bayonet is cocked off to the side gangster style and the trap with 4 stacks removed. 2 inches of that will get a coyotes attention.
Here is the peace carbine with modified bayonet holder for use with a silencer. The stainless steel solvent trap makes the muzzel a little heavy so I might find something lighter.
I tried the 7"x1.25" 9mm k baffel silencer on the carbine. It made a nice bang, definitely sounds like a gun shot, but I can't use the sights. Nothing like the 30 cal rebel sos. But that's what you get when you fire a 30cal bullet through a silencer that's been punched out to about 10mm to allow passage of a 9mm bullet. Forget about design and materials. The 3 main things that effect how loud a silencer is are the silencer internal hole diameter, internal volume and internal surface area.
