Were are the ones that are shooting up cities like Chicago,and New York getting their ammo? There are few guns up there so were is the ammo coming from? Is somebody buying it for them? Are they making ammo runs to other states? I have always wondered were they get their guns and ammo. It must not be hard.
Free country. Open (State) borders. Drive to nearest Academy Sports or Dick's (if they still sell ammo - I won't go there) and buy all you want. No purchase limits at most gun shows. As long as your money is green and you don't start the purchase with something like "I'm a felon, and I'd like to buy..." you won't have any problem. Tiny local commercial reloader (one man operation) bought my last 1200 pounds of .223/5.56 brass. In less than two weeks it was processed, reloaded and sold. Even the little guys deal in 30-100,000 rounds at a time. As long as they can get components they'll keep the golden flow going.
And that's assuming they're even buying finished ammo from legit manufactures. Nothing says the bad guys can't set up their own reloading operations. Acquire the components and a few Dillon 1050s and you can crank out a lot of ammo to send around the country to where it's "needed".

I'm reselling ammo now. Sell 100 boring walmart 9mm FMJ rounds buy around 400-500 much more interesting 9mm 115 and 147gr HP projectiles, when prices come back to normal to load 9x19 sub sonics and long and heavy non saami 380.

I can't stand these POS that do that. I understand supply and demand but to me right now that's the same as charging 50 bux for a flat of water. Personally I have no dawg in the hunt as I have ordered fed primers well in advance. But the guys that sell ammo/ components at highly inflated prices right now are POS in my book. In other news, a buddy down on the gulf coast just got in a pallet of primers for our 3 way split..
