COVID-19 Tracker Secretly Added to Smart Phones.

Found this posted on Facebook. I checked my iPhone and yes it's there as described. Potential for abuse is enormous.

When was the last time something good for you was done by the government in secret?

"FYI: Do you know that a " Covid-19 " sensor has been inserted secretly into every phone. Apparently when every one was having a phone disruption earlier this week, they were adding COVID -19 tracker to our phones
If you have an android phone, go under settings, then look for Google settings and see if it's there.
If you are using an iPhone, go under settings, privacy, then health, it's there but not yet functional. The app can notify you if you've been near someone that have reported having COVID-19.
Don't turn it on because you will be traced everywhere you go but once you update your phone, it will automatically be turned on on our phones. Just remember to go back in and turn it off."​

 

yep I see COVID-19 Exposure Notification says it's off?

 

Requires an app. My guess it that one will get pushed out on another SW update.

Keep in mind that you can already be tracked, but requires certain criteria to be admissible unless there is a warrant. Likely benign at this point, but once the foot is in the door...

 

Yup, just checked all our phones, it's there, but all are turned off! Will check every day to see if that changes, and let the Monkey know if it does! We run Apple, Google, and Android, and it's on all three!

I found a hack for it. Leave it at home or if you are like me and have a phone that was new when Obama just got reelected you can still take the battery out.

 

I have a hunch that this is to provide GPS to an associated app even when you have it disabled on your phone. Coming next will be the hidden app that accesses it. I bet even if you turn the tracker off it will still be on.

 

So sorry just have an old flip phone.

Mine has a red icon beside it,, does this mean its off??

 

It showed up in the security section, near the top, it shows off but has a red icon next to it!

 

Not sure but rumor has it that a red icon means they suspect you of shaving cats in your spare time. Any color or absence of color means they have plans to raise your taxes.

My phone stays at home. I have it linked to a high power (1watt) 900mhz cordless phone that covers the whole town. Being a good boy and never leaving home...

 

Im thinking 2 mylar bags and double bagging the phone while in movement ,, I just need it if i frigg up and have my bike / car / ride go wrong ..

The red icon is supposed to look like the coronavirus. It's just an icon for the addon.
On Android, Settings>Google Settings and you get it. Click the Covid-19 Exposure Notifications and it gives you this.

If this freaks you out, don't go looking into China's BeiDou "GPS" satellite system they're bringing online.
