90º at 4am is insane!

 

Too hot and too cold depends a lot on where you are and where you're from. About 25 years ago I was wearing Confederate Gray with the 9th Texas Infantry Regiment near Gettysburg, Penn.. We were extras in Ted Turner's movie "Gettysburg" and spent a week shooting Pickett's Charge. The assistant producers were always harping about drinking plenty of water and not getting over heated. One day they added, "That it was going to be hot that day". We asked, "How hot?". They said, "80, maybe 85.". To which we said, "We're from Texas (and other states in the deep South), do you have any idea how early we have to get up to see temperatures that low?"!
Been to Vicksburg, Miss., Rusk, Texas and Fort Morgan, Ala., those were hot and humid! Nearly froze a couple of times at Franklin, Tenn.. Almost got drowned at Shiloh in Tenn. and Chickamauga in Georgia. GOOD TIMES!!

monsoon season in AZ officially runs from June 15 to Sept 30. Our state legislature, in their infinite wisdom made the time frame into law so they could prosecute the idiots that drive thru 'dips' in the road that have heavy runoff. I guess rescuing cars and drivers was getting too expensive and now they can collect from your insurance or you.

The gulf winds have barely started to shift... We could use some rain.

 

DW had 3 family member die in a dry wash, that was not so dry suddenly.
Cousin and his two sons died even though they climbed trees.
This was in west Texas.
Not a safe place to be had sometimes.
