Used to be that our melting pot had spice to it. Going all bland, these days, it seems. Greyish soup is all that will be left at the rate things are going. I just thought they were images no different than Betty Crocker or Little Debbie and not representative of slavery or subordination, but then I don't see things as black or white unless forced to do so. I just thought it was because black cooks rock.

I suspect that in today's world if you didn't have black people as product logos you would also be accused of racism. Racist if you do and racist if you don't.

I remember eating pancakes at an Aunt Jemima restaurant on the south side of Chicago in the late '60's. There was a hostess who looked the part too. I remember the food was good.

The Babylon Bee is a satire site. It's a lot like the onion, but it makes fun of everybody. A story next to a Trump takedown might be next to a Biden bash. So, all sides political, all sides religious, etc. It's all very well done and with a lot of humor and generally makes great points.

I see their articles posted all the time by my "lefty" friends in social media. They are actually convinced that that Trump thinks he has done more for Christianity then Jesus based on one of their articles. I see that one posted all the time.
