That's a good name for that CQ working lamp. I'm leaving it with the barn fresh finish and incorrect, but very practical paper and burlap shade. I even have a pump with matching patina and solder repairs.

I'm scared she's going to trip the gate before the hogs show up,I do have a 24'' hole cut out in the top so she can escape?

 

I just finished helping butcher and freeze ten (300lb avg. L.W., about 1500lbs after processing) Hogs. I am NOT hungry for any pork, not for a while! I don't even want to think about pigs! Had really good crew both weekends.

 

Not sure of your AO ,, but if I was around,, I'd take one off of your hands for ya. I called today to see if my butcher can get one sawed up for me . Hope to hear from him tomorrow.

 

Hog producers can't sell to packers with all the plants closing. Independent butchers are scheduled out to after the new year. Bro did most of the work. Friends, cousins, nephews and nieces ( and I) helped with cutting and grinding. and packaging. Friend of brother's bought more than we did. Producer sold live hogs for $50 each (cutting losses). Had to get rid of 'em, can't afford to keep feeding 'em. I live in the bight were THE RIVER runs west. Check in your area, local pig farmers probably in the same boat. Noos paper today said to expect higher meat prices.

 

Yeah hearing tales of growers expected to just exterminate and bury their livestock.

I found a homestead in the Craven County, NC woods that had been reduced to nothing but twin rows of tulips and the stainless steel trim from a car that had vaporized to nothing but lumps under the pine straw. Home and car had decomposed and all that was left were the flowers that had lined the entry and the shiny bits of the car.

This one is headed that way, but I've found somebody to give it some love. It served me well, but at 10 MPG it had to go. I can borrow a truck or van when I need one.

 

I was actually visualizing something out of the 70s possibly. Those wagoneers were some pretty tough pulling machines. But yes sir ,, at 10 miles to the gallon ,, it's hard to justify hanging on to that ,, if you're not getting some good use out of it. I love scouting the woods for old vehicles. Found a few from the 40s- 50s years ago ,, trees growing up in them ,, some of those big hood ornaments like the plane ,, a lady or something ,, been a while since I found them. But was going to go back later and retrieve the hood ornaments,, and couldn't find the cars. It was way back in the swamps. Anyway,,, thank you for the response ,, and hope you have a great day.

 

So I was cutting a broken top out of a fir tree for my neighbor. Out came two flying squirrels from this spot. The only two I’ve ever seen. Amazing! I was able to leave it as is. Scared the crap out of me. I thought bats at first.

 

You need to feed him better. His ribs are showing.

 

2kg of meat a day, weighs a bit over 100kg & I hope his ribs are showing... thats they way they are supposed to be. People are to used to seeing them overweight & thinking thats normal. Being overweight, especially with the larger breeds puts them at high risk for weight related problems.
