Interesting stuff! My toothpaste is made in USA... and says EXP10/2014 on the crimp.

 

Unfortunately it is often just assembled and much still comes from china.
Would be nice if the origine was on the label, like 95% of this product is made of chinese materials

 

I don't know if it is still true, however I found that many electronics that come from china are not all they appear.
Many have access jacks on the out side but have no electrical connection inside. I take things apart when they fail

 

I knew someone who worked with Chinese companies...one of the questions they asked was what country did they want it to say it was made in on the label.

 

Reminds me of Korean markets in the 80's. I'm looking at Members Only jackets. Shop keeper says, "You want label?" Before I could answer he pulls a ribbon of Members Only label out of a box, snips off about five labels and stuffs them in the pocket where one would be sewn on the genuine article.
