Apparently some people are too dumb to carry or am I missing something here?

OMG! It's Quick Draw McGraw! No @T. Riley, you ain't missed a thing. That boy has set a new pinnacle for stupid carry moves. Dumbest I've ever seen, and I see plenty.

its not any worse than those girly pics you boys like where the gun is tucked in the belly button and pointed toward the femoral artery. JS.

I was on a 'team' (USAF) that was supposed to provide commo post-atomic attack. (Ya, I thought so as well)

Anyway, we had a Capt assigned, why, I don't know. Part of our load out was a weapon - a .38 S&W Model 10. The capt went to pick it up for a big off campus exercise and that's what he got - the pistol, and a board with 5 bullets. When he asked for a holster, he was told -- not part of the issue.

So, at the big staff meeting he took the pistol and made a loop out of a shoelace and wore the damn thing around his neck, hanging from the trigger guard - like a piece of really ugly jewellery. Needless to say, the Col was not pleased with his choice of fashion accessories.

Oddly, the Space Pigs were able to 'find' a holster shortly thereafter.

Ahhh...the days of being on a SAC base....

That was my sidearm while I was a SAC emergency action controller. They weren't intended to keep bad guys out of the command post. They were intended to keep the other SAC controller from accessing the nuke codes without authorization.
    I liked that gun.

When I was later assigned to an Army post (Ft Richardson) once more I was issued a .38 to go with my GAU-5 (CAR-15)
Trouble was, the only .38 ammo (a generally important item) on the Fort was for Army Aviation and they didn't share.
Long story short, the CO got permission for us to carry our own .45s if the (Army) unit armorer OK'd them as standard issue-like pistols. So, for the next four years I carried a Springfield 45ACP.

The .38 was turned in on rotation, still in the little aluminized bag it was issued in. Fortunately, I was never forced to 'qualify' yearly with the revolver. OTOH, I ran enough 45 thru my piece that it needed a new barrel after 4 years....
