Stupid military nomenclature. Told my dad I wanted a P-38 for x-mas and that's just what I got. He thought it was the funniest thing ever. Probably a good thing I didn't ask for a P-51... Never did get the P-38 I wanted. Settled for a P-61 on my birfday though!

 

Yup, you have to be very specific with parents. I remember a Christmas list that said "Axe, large, for splitting wood." The year before it just said "Axe" and his mother got him Axe body wash and cologne.

Dad plays those games too. "Shotgun" left a lot of options open, including 28 ga muzzle loaders made from lumber yard parts.
