Las Vegas is shut down it must be SHTF!

many businesses and cities are taking this seriously.
Several of my clients have sent their workers home for 30 days or have shifted them to work from home. The govenor of Nevada shut down all non essential serices yesterday and will be limiting road travel over the weekend. They literally will be having road check points and allow only so many cars per hour on the road.

I dont know if its hype or not i was watching the CDC numbers and if those are accurate the large states, CA, WA NY have more than doubled reported cases since Monday.

Again, not sure the virus itself is as serious as the rapid spread of it for healthy people but for at risk populations it can be deadly.

 

So far this is mild shtf for practice.

 

My good news is that the shop is considered essential services so I will be able to work.

 

Yep mild but escalating. One thing if nothing else we have decent data now on how a pandemic will spread here in the USA. Our first two Southern IL cases were reported yesterday. So from a getting prepared and having time to do so, this is not a bad area to be in. People have had a solid 7-8 weeks to be ready if they took it seriously early on.

While most of us here are well prepared, always good to remember that 90% of the population IS NOT and the longer this goes the more desperate they will get. The sheer number of people that live paycheck to paycheck and have little to nothing in the way of assets or reserves is reason enough to have a level of concern to my way of thinking.

I love your wife. I did the same thing. You and my hubby can sympathize as he was planning on eating the cat.

 

Las Vegas & Reno are just huge social distancing problems - it's just large flu petri dishes waiting for victims - blockading outside those areas might be overkill .....

hopefully things will dry up and it'll be back to biz SOON ....

Exactly - Getting my head beaten in for a package of hamburger buns is more worrisome to me than catching the virus.

Next day or two, probably Saturday, it's off to the BOL. Plus I can stay busy there while remaining in isolation. Rather be there during a lockdown.

This is my response: Darrell Wallace Oh? and what Constitutional right gives local government the ability to shut everything down, put millions, yes millions, of working people unemployed while totally destroying the stock market and wiping out retirement savings for millions? Don't try to tell me that hasn't already happened. All my gigs are cancelled, every waitress I know, even those with children they are raising on their own are now unemployed for an indefinite period and lucky us? Maybe we'll get a thousand bucks to bail us out, meanwhile the $3000,000.00 plus I have invested in my studio, instruments, websites, advertising, are useless because all the music venues are closed. SM has been monitoring the strategic movement of Blackhawks, APCs, tanks, and heavy armaments to some really unlikely spots where there has never existed any possibility of being attacked by invading enemies for over a year, All the State owned National Guard Armories have had ALL of their weapons and ammunitions taken and stored in central Federal controlled facilities, that's right, there is not one remaining shootable rifle left in any of our National Guard Armories, yet the Feds bought billions of rounds of ammunition and have armed postal employees, Forestry Department personnel, Tax Collectors, and every other Federal agency, even the Department of Human Services, with automatic weapons, the real ones and not the semi-automatic ones they keep trying to Ban from civilian ownership. Not wanting to sound like a conspiracy nut but will somebody tell me what the fuck is actually happening?
