A lot of people dump their pet pigs just like they do their pet dogs and cats. Also about 9-10 years back a lot of Fly By Night Farms (There one day and Gone 6-12 Months Later) Saw some of us making good money raising and selling pasture pork and all of the sudden everyone was a pasture hog farmer. When they lose interest they tend to open the gates and just let whatever they are raising go. They seem to favor the smaller breeds particularly Ossabaw and Guinea Hogs. Looks like you have one of those two breeds that someone donated. Good news is they do taste Great, bad news is they are very prolific and 2 is 12 in 4 Months and 12 turn into 240 in a years time. Could be pot bellies but the body doesn't look right and the faces too long.

Smart Hog, has learned to hide behind tress for the most part.

That's Drop Dead Fred or J-Fred as I call him sometimes.

He just hangs out keeping an eye on the place

I tell the 1or2 neighbors that if they see him out walking around tell him to go home,

    He's probably drunk !

You and Drop Dead are just getting them comfortable with the human shape and giving them a false sense of security :)

They look like they'd fit nicely split and on a grill or in a smoker. We have to go up the road aways to get them now. Haven't seen any sign here for awhile.

Don't see many Durocs or Polland China hogs running around the woods but some yahoo let em go, then they brought in a few Russian wild boars to ad to the mix, pigs will screw anything that looks like a pig or squeals so those little pot-bellies will just join the generic bacon pool in a year or few.

Now turkeys we got plenty of deer too. We haven't been hunting them around here for several years. They come to our place and my uncle's because they are hunted on all the surrounding property fairly hard. Some corn, salt lick and a suppressor is all that's needed.;)
